Yes it is mind boggling! Take in consideration, growing your favorite lemon (Meyer lemon is mine) from your grocery store. You have a small chance of growing a true fruiting plant from grocery store seeds due to commercial hybridization/patenting of their plants! Imagine not being able to grow your own peppadew pepper plant bc S. African growers take them all out before export? There is a reason for it. They win, you lose! This is the reality in which we live! So Go local, my friends!
