Study the last 160 years Chinese history thoroughly or living in UK for an extended period of time then tell me how much better UK runs their own country compare with today HK SAR.

We are Chinese not a " Wannabe". Remember 29 August 1842 Treaty of Nanking and the Opium war. Up to 1930 no Chinese is allowed to live in Mid level of Central HK excepted the white man. Do you really love and want this kind of history again ?

Colonial rule changed from the 1980's onwards, it may have been too late but universal sufferage was introduced, and local Chinese people were appointed to important positions such as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Commissioner of the Royal Hong Kong Police and President of the Legislative Council.

I'm sure if British rule had continued then Hong Kong would be a better place today than it is in reality.
