  • Belgrade is getting this trams this spring, starting from may 6.th i think, its awesome cause most of the trams are around 20 years old and these aren't even finished really so they are ultra fresh from the factory, can't wait to see them in Belgrade!

  • I want to go from bonnyrigg to Portobello.

Will the tram get me there, easier than my car?

  • yaaaay my primary school is going to close because of it woooooooooooo. who cares about the fact that a bus lane can handle more buses than a tram line can, it PRETTY

  • It is very good idea to return trams to the city. They are space effective, environmentally friendly. They will encourage people to use public transport. It is great if tram is longer in Edinburgh then it will multiply its advantage of high capacity. I wish every city to have so clever government. Trams create cities much more human and nice...

  • @krizvasa "Clever gornement"? You might want to say that again? This project is a load of crap! Its ONLY one line from the city centre to th airport. You call that clever? You idiot!

  • @ScotmanUK2000 :

krizvasa is from PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC! He don't know anything about your life. He just agrees on the tram project, calm down and respect others' opinions.

But, I must admit that trolleybus or a guided electric bus system is better for the conditions in Edinbrugh.

  • @ScotmanUK2000 Ha, ha. I like how the video shows a tram leaving the ocean terminal on the line section that isn't now going to be built. Why did this lot get the contract? They don't seem capable of organising a piss-up in a brewery.

  • Haha - i used to work with a girl in this video. Can't quite remember her name though - are there credits anywhere?

  • Bring on the trams. The best thing thats happened to Edinburgh in years.

  • @weestuburns I love your irony.

  • @OhFishyFish Not really.

  • @weestuburns 1 line out of 3 planned, already over budget and behind schedule, busieness going belly-up in Leith thanks to the roadworks, traffic nightmare, and all this to have tram runnig on the same line as several buses.

    Great idea indeed.

  • @OhFishyFish Boring, narrow minded and generic. Any more quotes from the EEN up your sleeve? Yawn.

  • @weestuburns I moved to this country and Edinburgh few years ago, so I can assure you that my point of view is a bit wider than Princes Street shops. Edinburgh transport fails in many areas and setting up tram line won't change it.

  • @OhFishyFish The fact you've only been here a few years has nothing to do with having an opinion. Care to share how "Edinburgh transport fails in may ways?"

  • @weestuburns, Happy to share

    1. Lack of green wave coordinated lights, so on many long streets you get red light every 50 yards.

    2. Traffic islands right next to bus stops, so cars get stuck behind buses (Newington for i.e.)

    3. Loading bays few yards from traffic ligts (South Bridge i.e.)

    4. Bus timing - 2 or 3 at the same time, then nothing for half an hour (37/47 route i.e. )

    5. Cycling paths in city centre are a joke - end misteriously, collide with parking bays etc.

    Need more?
