  • aw damn, i thought i'd recorded Saturday Sun in Austin... guess i didn't!!! i DO have the banter about the creepy moustaches, though, and i've posted that already. crap, i can't believe i don't have this song from that show! oy! i still liked his and Nick's moustaches... both were still so adorable (and gracious!) in person! :-)

  • i happen to have liked his moustache, before he shaved it off (saw and met him and the boys in Austin, he shaved it after that show; very great guys, btw), creepy though it was! he needs to excercise his creepy side, after all! LOL i like the album version of this song with the voice tampering, but when they did it live in Austin there was none of that going on and it was much better imo! i need to post that vid! awesome band, though sadly no American media attention. UGH!

  • NF mentioned at the Austin TX concert that the mustache is his attempt at looking creepy. I've gotten used to it but will be glad to see it go. ;) I like this version of Sat Sun. I think CH isn't going to see radio success in the US again but they certainly have a decent American following that will buy their albums and go to concerts. So glad they are back--I love them!

  • @Riverdeboz If Neil has a creepy pimp's 'tache, does this mean that the other 3 are his ho's? Times getting hard for CH??????

  • kirktonstreet, this *is* the band that chose "Chocolate Cake" as their first single for the U.S. - and wondered why it didn't catch on. Not sure if they were hoping for an Inspector General moment there or not. So, instead, we now have Inspector Clouseau.

  • @Psychokinetic2k I've read elsewhere that it wasn't the band's choice in fact but the 'grey men' in suits.

  • great song. bad moustache.

  • Neil looks like inspector Clouseau from the Pink Panther. On behalf of most of the fans: NEIL SHAVE OFF THAT MOUSTACHE!

  • Thanks for sharing this. I'm scratching my head trying to figure out how this song was chosen as the lead single from Intriguer. There are much better songs on the album. Amsterdam, Elephants, Twice if You're Lucky?

  • @kirktonstreet There may be better songs, but are they better for radio play? You need stuff to grab you right away..and this actually sounds like vintage CH stuff..which is good. :)

  • @kirktonstreet still a pretty awesome song,

  • @kirktonstreet Easy - the most radio-friendly. Actually, it improves with listening.

  • That 12-string guitar is a Maton, which I believe is an Aussie brand. I want one!

  • @hartvan Yep, nice guitar. Aussie guitarist Tommy Emmanuel (possibly the greatest guitarist on earth) also plays Matons and he really rates them.

  • @hartvan I have one identical to Neils!

  • Beautiful song, beautiful man, but the mustache is CREEPING me out! Was this a joke like the clip with the beatnik getup? or maybe a dare, I hope.

  • Looks like some type of Fender electric 12 but not sure exactly.

  • @enviroguy101958

It's a maton fyrbyrd 12 string. Nice looking bit of kit.

  • What guitar is that?

  • I love my, I love my global youtube! Thanks for uploading!

  • Absolutely Brilliant!!

  • Thanks for uploading, great to be able to see this.

  • Thanks for sharing! :)
