I lived in Newport for 5 years. It was beatiful. Places to check out: Battery Park, Ocean Drive, Rose Island, Castle Hill and....Long Wharf Seafood!! Lol. My dad, cousins, and some uncles work there. Pretty sure one year my aunt got pushed into the lobster tank...(: Best. Place. Ever.

I liked Newport alot (I was a tourist) --- it was small, quaint and interesting. And clean.

But the people there were so nasty!  Why? Won't be back anytime soon.

OMG!!! The best vacation I had in years! What a lovely place to live...& die. Toured 5 houses & spent alot of time on Ocean Drive & the ocean. LOVED the history, harbor & the mega yachts. Our favorite was the $140 million yacht with it's own helicopter & pad. Definitely coming back to spend more time...& money. :) The most amazing place ever.

I love newport I was born and raised here. I live on the point and its awesome. But the narration on here makes me want to hang myself its so boring. As for the police department there are good and bad cops everywhere and no city or towns government or police department is perfect so stop bashing ours.

We lived in Arctic. In fact our apt was across the street from the Coventry house of pizza!!!

I performed at Theatre by the sea before we relocated to NYC. RI is the best state in the union and every corner has something to explore. I miss it so much.  I am trying to talk my daughter into going to Salve Regina.

I used to try to get lost for fun....I'd drive through the country and just when I'd think I was lost, there would be rte 2 or 4 and I'd think bummer...I just can't get lost!

Hurricanes and Tidal waves have hit Newport. There used to be a roller coaster on that beach in the early days and a tidal wave knocked it over the streets.

I lived on Lee Ave for Awhile .. Right off Thames .. I love those clam cakes .. and that portugese sausage .. And the cliff walk .. My grandfather was a bartener at the hibernian hall .. i love newport and spend every summer there .. no else i would rather be .

I live in Rhode Island. Always look forward to the summer as I like visiting Newport alot. Going to Breaker's and The Cliff Walk has always been a favorite when I was growing up. The beaches are great.

Yes. Good views, very boring narrative however. There are some excellent scenes of the Newport Coast from the film "Reversal of Fortune", which is about the von Bulow attempted murder trial. Look it up if you're interested.
