But I do want to clear up that there really is no debating what kind of car Dean hit. It's a documented fact--check out the police report. Dean collided with Donald Turnupseed, who was driving a 1950 Ford Tutor. There are pictures that show it. Check out the photo of them loading Dean into the ambulance--you can clearly see the other wrecked car in the background and it's not a flat-bed truck. I'd link the picture or another video that shows it, but I can't in a comment.

Agreed. They are similar in that respect. And they both seemed to have a raw natural talent about them. They had physical similarities as well. But if you were trying to come up with someone who would've been better suited to play Jimmy in a biopic (instead of Franco), he wouldn't be much good, would he? Being dead and all. I don't think there are any alive, working actors that come to my mind as better suited.
