@bannanatree haha my excuse is simple, i recorded the video back when I wasn't very confident with alternate picking. I can do it now thankfully; makes the verse so much easier. hahah

I took a look at your Dead Right tab and it looks pretty sound. Well done! I play it slightly differently in the chorus though. The interlude was the reason I haven't submitted a tab for that song, and I admire your attempt at tabbing it!

How do you play the chorus?

And yeah, I thought the interlude would be hard, but what I did was just play the C scale and pick out which note sounded most like the chord, then try all the minors and majors of that note to see which chord it was.

And yeah, the chord interludes are the reason I didn't tab insurrection =D

@bannanatree For the chorus i tend to use the 5th and 4th strings instead of going to the 8th fret on the 6th string, but that's just a preference of mine. In the third bar of your chorus tab you have 8th fret played 8 times, but it sounds to me like it's just played 4 times with a quick pause following.

Haha true, their songs are generally easy to pick up and play along to, but when the interlude comes, it makes ya stop and think. Chords are a weakness of mine too so that doesn't help, hahahha

Although if you play it with a first fret power-chord on the A string, it gets confusing to play the same later on, except higher up, for the slide.

And yeah, you're right, about the four notes =D

I'll play it like that inthe future.

Yeah man, I prefer to play with really hard picks (I used to have a steel pick) which means when I play chords, (and when I do, I bash the shit out of the guitar) the strings always break D:

0:56 is a slide.

Moreover, the chorus is played with every note using the top three strings (in a power chord, but since it's in drop C - or C#, I forget :P - you just play it by barring the first three). I'm not sure if you where doing that already. Sorry if you where :)

Finally, you should learn to use your pinky, it'll speed up your playing and decrease your chances of missing a note by having to stretch fingers.

@bannanatree I tabbed it by ear and it sounded right to me at the time, but if it's played by sliding then I'll alter my tab on ult-guitar. Thanks for the feedback and forgive the crappy camera angle, you can't really see how I'm playing; if in doubt I've got my tab in the description. I taught myself electric guitar after learning classical, so I can use my pinky, tho I sometimes use just three fingers because it looks more 'energetic', if you know what I mean.. :)

If you listen to the song closely you'll also notice the verse (I'm 90% sure) is incorrect in that it does a pull off three times on the third fret. Pretty sure it goes:

It's clearer after the "everybody in the party get the fuck up"

I could be wrong. I thought this was the case after I read your tab about two months ago =D (Great tab by the way helped me A LOT) Hope I don't sound like a dick, just giving a little advice

I just listened to it again and you're right; I don't know how I missed that! Thanks for the correction. It's great getting this kind of constructive feedback as it tells me people are actually using my tabs, haha. And I'm glad my tab helped you out; as long as they're pushing people in the right direction towards being able to play songs by this amazing band then I'm satisfied :D
