My mother in law had this and when I reported her for what she was doing to her grandaughter she poisoned my daughter. My daughter and her daughter's daughter are both alive today but be careful if you are dealing with someone like this. They are sneaky, crafty, cunning, and smart. She would speak to me openly about what she was doing and then cry a river to others about what I was saying. You and your own children are not safe because there is no limit to what they will do. They are psychopaths
This type of mental illness is very tricky to figure out. In the mother's perspective, obviously due to the fact that she is sickly delusional, no harm has been done. Its what they say is a "factitious disorder" in which the patient makes up/induces fake illnesses. I do not believe that they are psychologically aware of what they are doing is wrong, but I do believe that they fall somewhere in the psychopathic/sociopathic range, which nevertheless means they need some serious mental help.
Mom's guilty. Not a coincidence the child didn't get sick anymore after being taken from her. You don't go from over 30 operations and chronic illness to perfect health like that.
You guys want to tell how she is lieing all she does is use deflections trying to make you feel bad for what she has done. You can also tell she has set up here story there is no pause just quick talking.
The worst thing is, is that having a parent with munchausens by proxy..kinda GIVES the victim munchausens themselves at least on a small level... kind of wanting to be ill in a bad way and being disapointed you arent, because of all the associasions your mind is used to. .. i got over that thankfully, but i have a deathly fear of hospitals now, and dentists even though she never took me..anything medical where someone might hold me down.. cant stand it..but explaining sometimes helps
@BlondieBSc if you wikipedia it, youll see what the common factors are - my mum had 'daddy issues' , was a nurse for a little while -- infatuated with medical knowledge... would try to make herself the know it all on issues (but of course my own--and my daughter :( - were THE WORST....) ..
If you think your mum had this, you're probably onto something important... i knew about this condition for years but never put the peices together. if you have there is a reason. ENOUGH of a patern helps
my mum had it...sooo lucky i didnt end up with operations or worse than i got... what i'd give to see my mother in a courtroom with that verdict read out.
