ummmm, I believe the show Rat Patrol was based on a BRITISH reconnaisance group in Africa long before the americans entered, but if you like your history written by hollywood comic writers, then go right ahead.
redcoat43, us Yanks were not with any of the rat patrol teams this I know. What part of the western desert are you talking about? I ask so I can get a picture of what you mean.
Thank you for the info. I will check it out. I do like learning about the WW2 era even though it was over a decade before my time. It is one of my favorite eras to learn about. BTW, You Tube does that to me too.
There were a lot of Easy Companies.......Easy stood for "E".....I think he meant the tv series with Easy company in the 506 PIR (parachute Infantry regiment) of the 101st Airborne Division. OR the Band of Brothers........
Did you see the HBO tv mini series called the Band Of Brothers? a ten part mini series by Steven Spielberg based on the book written by historian/author Stephen Ambrose. Very good.
There are some movies that are very historical accurate and others that the only thing that was real was a name of a battle or town.......Band of Brothers is a entertaining series That is historically accurate.
I like entertainment value too but I also like it to with the truth of the story of Dillinger. But Hollywood isn't into doing too much of that. Did they have Dillinger being ambushed at Biograph Theater around the end of the movie? I read Dillinger's ghost replays the ambush scene here and there at the theater.
I am a history major but, alas, I don't know that much about Dillinger. I did know that he was shot after a movie that he took a girl to. The movie has him taking two girls to the movies. The movie portrays one as a illegal from Romania. The movie has her betray Dillinger so she can stay in the country. Is that true?
The infamous 'Lady In Red' did betray him but I was under the impression she was American and to be noticed. Making a note research and find out for sure, lol. I just went to wikipedia. I found out you were right, she was Romanian was threatened with deportation by the FBI if she didn't turn on Dillinger. Wow, just learn something new.
I like 4x4ing. I used to go to SLAB. Along the LLANO River outside of Kingsland, Texas. Sand and granite slabs. hills and water.........cool place to go 4x4ing. To bad we didn't have 50's to shoot.
Well! 1) I like music. 2) The clips in the video are from different episodes. It wouldn't have any plot with words. It would be confusing. 3) If there is a certain clip in the video that one wants to hear I can put it up for them. The same would go for an episode. All it takes is asking. 4) Why this particular song? I couldn't help but think of 'All Jacked Up' when I saw the clips. The Rat Patrol looked like they were all jacked up and ready to go after the Germans or a nemesis.
What a stupid video.

About the episodes and clips, getting them uploaded and live also depends on You Tube allowing it.
