  • Modern day Stevie Nicks. Yeah?

  • blake sennets awesome

  • Good song! "I Want Yo' Number."

  • wish i could have seen them live before they broke up :(

  • What this is the chick from The Wizard. She is why I love the gingers

  • CANT BELIEVE THE GUITARIST WAS ON SALUTE YOUR SHORTS AND BOY MEETS WORLD

  • Saddle Creek had some phenomenal artists.

  • This is such an amazing recording. Perfect.

  • I didn't hear her voice cracking. Like this a lot.

  • seriously gives me goosebumps her voice is incredible!

  • HOORAY! NOW I'M GOLD!

  • FUCK YEAH

  • I looooove RK!!!!!

  • Great voice! She sings with,'Brandon Flowers' & 'The Killers' on 'Hard Enough'...

    thanks for the share,

    2klime

  • Whoa I heard this song in my aunts car at 2 in the morning years ago!!! and now i just happen to find it randomly!!!

  • Video of today-!

  • @kbs1212 Then stay with the album and forget seeing them live.

Live is about getting something new, not a repeat of what you hear on the cd.

  • @kbs1212 I don't get why this comment has so many negative votes. It's just being honest. Her voice IS cracking a little (not necessarily a bad thing), but her singing is also a little flat here. I'm sure she's not like this all the time live, but this was just commenting on how off she was in this particular recording. You have to be tone deaf or a little too obsessed to get mad at this comment.

  • @soyallergy Finally, someone understood what I meant. Voice cracking is a fact of life, no matter how good of a singer the person is, it happens. It doesn't mean they suck or can't sing. it's just that the studio recording is so perfectly in tune and smooth so hearing this shaky live performance was a little uncomfortable for my ears.

  • thumbs up if you found this band after playing Rock Band 3 Portions for Foxes!

  • el punteo suena muy parecido a "my sweet lord" de george harrison

  • Jenny, even when you're singing is flat, you're amazing.

  • Good stuff

  • THE WIZARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the guitar "player" rips off Van Morrison note for note... how lame is that?

  • @elvisload what van morrison song?

  • My mistake, not Bob Dylan. He rips off George Harrison (My Sweet Lord).

  • @elvisload How lame are you?

  • @elcrapitan not as lame as you... El Crap Tan

  • @elvisload Wow, witty. You said my name, sans an i.

  • @elvisload Actually, its similar, but not identical.

Coincidentally, Harrison allegedly 'ripped off' The Chiffons (He's So Fine) in the song you are referring to.

I believe you will find it is called influence, and without it, music is almost impossible.

  • @superaltman Exactly right. But why in this case does it sound so lame?

  • sexi

  • :( i love the regular version...but this live performance sounds pretty bad..so sad!

  • does Jenny Lewis EVER wear pants?

  • @Al112987

    i really hope not!

  • That is one incredibly hot ginger...

  • this was a very bad performance.... i am disappointed

  • @s13eddie i agree. i love them, but this is defiantly horrible

  • are the backup singers the watson twins??????

  • This is a good song...listen to the lyrics..."i was your silver lining and now I'm gold" it means like you overcome the heart ache of what someone else has done to you! good analogy.

  • Just watched "Troop Beverly Hills" on cable and got to watch a little Jenny in the lead. Very cute. Never made the connection before.

  • what a great band...they can't make a bad song even trying hard

  • wtf.

  • this through head phones while cruising South bound PCH on an Aprilia RSV

    *juicy*

  • Oh wow. She sounds awful here. What's up Jenny?

  • @SomeCalcium yeah she sounds kinda flat...i think its cus she had to lean over into the mic

  • @SomeCalcium yeah, def not in her best form here

  • Great voice

  • Jenny Lewis has nice titties

  • @TSWfilms Blake Sennett has nice titties

  • Excellent. I would hear this song at work everyday and just sway at my desk. I had no idea it was Rilo Kiley. Excellent

  • was that david gray clapping at the beginning?

  • jenny and blake are so sweet!

  • nice nice

  • I have to say Jenny Lewis is probably my favorite female singer at the moment. I love this band. I equally enjoy the solo works of Jason Boesel.

  • sounds a bit like "stuck inside of mobile" by Bob Dylan...

  • when i was younger i thought she was the most gorgeous girl in the wizard. now im glad to hear she makes beautiful music herself! such a talented woman

  • @cliff1987 The messed up thing it, I'm 16 and I just saw the wizard, and she was insanely cute in that movie. I feel a bit like a pedophile though.

  • I love Jenny Lewis, she is so amazing, I love her "Acid Tongue" album, absolute genius... She is amazing...

  • OMG it's Budnick! (on the drums) Salute Your Shorts is the cheese AND the cheddar. Always wondered what happened to him. :)

  • ahahaha me too

  • very cool

  • "He touched my breast!!!!!!"

  • reminds me of jewel, and joni mitchell

  • this song makes me wanna dance hecka sexxyy...

  • "hecka"?

  • guitarist is joey from boy meets world

  • actually he is from the Nickelodeon TV show "Salute Your Shorts"

  • He was on both. He was Joey the Rat _and_ one of the kids on Salute Your Shorts.

  • @aolesen mostly everyone though remembers him from bmw but oh weeeelllzz

  • hmm i didnt know the prince of mozambique was a fan

  • Pinsky Salami!

  • jenny is the best! what a pretty song!

  • When I consider the music they made before songs such as this one (and the entire album it appears on), I have to completely disagree with you.

  • intro kinda like my sweet lord, i like how she integrated it here though.

  • i´ve heard this song like a thousand times and i can´t still get enough. luv the voice, luv the timing, just adictive...

  • öde

  • I bet you go home and do the same thing, while these "emo losers" are making a name for themselves.

  • Rilo kiley are actually an indie rock band and emo hasn't existed since the 1990's you really have no clue about anything. 'matchheads'

  • @ofbestfit

Yes, Rilo Kiley isn't emo, but emo has been around since the 80s.

  • @ofbestfit i thought emo has definitely existed in the 90's... it's just come a long way since and now has a slighly different connotation... again, i thought this, but i'm not an expert, so any clarification would be welcome. Anyone with any insight, that is.

  • @ofbestfit that can't possibly be right. what about the smiths, and elliot smith, for that matter? maybe you are confusing emo with screamo? it's just that emo existed before the 1990's, at least i think. Anyone care to clarify for the class?

  • @ofbestfit Emo did exist in the 90s. What about Sunny Day Real Estate and the Get Up Kids and Braid and Dillinger Escape Plan? All the other bands that broke free from hardcore and lead up to the emo scene? Every phase of music has a three decade existence. Emo's main core happened from the mid-90s to the mid-00s- now it's in the process of dying out. You really have no clue about anything.

  • @acursivelullaby i dont agree. and name dropping three bands doesnt really convince me that you know what your talking about either. especially with a name that crosses cursive and a static lullaby. lets leave all the subjective opinions about generalizing good music at home.

  • @ofbestfit it started in the late 90's around 98 or 99 because I looked up when they started on Wikipedia

  • @matchheads you mean Rilo Kiley? cause if so they're anything but emo, you need to re-evaluate your grasp on music genres .

  • that chick was in the movie 'the wizard'

  • Just watched The Wizard. Been so long since i've seen that film. she sure has changed since that and Troop Beverly Hills.

  • loving this song

  • They are such a great band. And she is an amazing singer on these albums and her solo one. This album was a little disco-ish but still great.

  • God how embarrased am I. Found this band through the sexyist female lead singers list. Couldnt be happier I did though, love this voice...

  • @sonnyblackstein Was she at the top of the list, or was Zooey Deschanel? I'd assume they are #1 and #2 on that list.

  • a BAND, durp.

  • legal..gostei..do som

  • and joey the rat from boy meets world!!! hahaha man did i mentioned i'm surprised?? lol i love rilo kiley cos they're music is so organic and deep :)

  • she's from troop beverley hills!!! wow, i've known rilo kiley for a while but didn't know how the lead singer looked like! hahahaha wow she's talented cos i love their music :)

  • they have...

  • they did, but it got pulled down cause people were ripping the audio file.

  • They have. Idiot.

  • Sounds a bit like joni mitchell at some parts, am i the only one who hears that?

  • Amazing performance!

  • And then finally i got a chance to see the music video after a very long time of listening to the music... such a good memorie.. the song will always give me good feeling.. thanks to the group who made it.

  • where is the official video? cant find it in here :S

  • Used to be several of them, even a set through WarnerBrothers, then one day they all got yanked. Someone posted one a month or so ago, it was gone within a week.

  • HE TOUCHED MY BREAST!!!!!!!!! LOL

  • ahaha this band brings back MEMORIES! not cause of the music cause of the guitarist for those of you too young to remember boy meets world he played a bully throughout the entire series run

  • woww....I just discovered this band... it's amazing!!

  • i love this song!!!

  • i heard this song at work and i had to download it. u rock jenny. and she was a child actress on my fav show the golden girls ooooooooo yeahhhhhhhh!!!!

  • Yep! She played that bratty girl scout girl lol.

  • lol

  • the Killers didn't suck with Hot Fuss.

    But yeah, they suck now.

  • im with you, killers & rilo kiley are my fav bands. but why are the killers being discussed on this vid anyway?

  • love this song

  • Agreed. This song is the perfect balance between coherence and artistry, a balance which Rilo Kiley often has trouble maintaining.

  • wtf? Brandon Flowers will kick your asses! he rox

  • she sounds a little flat in the beginning, but still awesome performance.

  • yeah a little bit flat but not bad by today's standards

  • Brandon Flowers is the lead singer in the Killers.

  • who is this brandon flowers

  • brilliant

  • LorcaAdonai......naughty, naughty. If you're the expert, post a video showing us why. And please see to your grammar and syntax.

  • this song is the shit.

  • brandon who?

  • you're right, except that Jenny Lewis writes great songs, sings like an angel and is beautiful, and Brandon Flowers is a total douche bag in a shitty band... so, no I guess you're wrong

  • Comment removed

  • How about no.

Jenny Lewis is a talented gorgeous woman in an awesome band and Brandon Flowers is a douchebag in a band that, well, sucks.

  • nasty fucker

  • relaxing :D

  • Amazing band! The ultimate band for an FDM session! We live in much hope :)

  • q bella cancion !!!!!!!

y lo digo en español juju XD

    muy buen performance !!!

  • Total chill music.

  • Jenny Lewis= perfection.

  • This song is so chill lol.

    love it~

  • most pop songs are "horribly contrived," having little meaning

    they're catchy though

  • this is barely pop.

  • i think people who say things are horribly contrived are terribly pretentious.

  • i think people who think people are pretentious dont realize that those people actually narcissistic, and with good reason.

  • best thread ever

  • I think people who think people are narcissistic when they think people are pretentious are confusing

  • you can not like a song, but you don't have to be an ass about it. there is nothing wrong with this song and you know it.

  • actually, i know quite the opposite.

this is an unimaginative composition by fault of all involved minus jenny's vocals but who's musical contributions amount to a few stray chords.

i mean...jimney crickits! there is no meddle section.

the twangy treble of the guitar against jennys bassy, hollow voice is like playing the same tone of treble over a stand-up bass.

there is simply no compromise, no meddle!

and i wish the drummer could do something more than metronome. :(

  • Comment removed

  • If you listen to the album version they really boost the vocals especially for the leads Alto but the singer doesnt do well live not to mention that who ever approved them in their sound check needs their ears checked since they didnt properally balance anything.

But all your points are valid for this specific live performance. It really is horrid.

  • i love!

  • goddamn, Jenny Lewis is amazing

  • great song

  • Sorry if this sounds ignorant, but is this an original or a cover?

  • I am pretty sure it's an original. I have heard that some guitar parts are possibly from another band's song.

  • My Sweet Lord by George Harrison might be what youre thinking of..similar intros kinda

  • i never felt so wicked

as when i willed our love to die

  • iwas....now im gold ; P

  • Sounds nervous.

  • is that the singer/drummer for Grand Ole Party on backup vocals?

  • Looks like her. Blake from Rilo did produce their album.

  • Too bad, no original MV.

  • one of those perfect songs.

  • she still sounds good.
