Rod used to live three streets from me a few years back,all i can say about Rod is,He was and still is the greatest man to pick up a carp rod. may He never stop fishing, cheers Rod your a LEGEND.

pauleds 1 - show some respect for Rod, he has been at the top of his game for longer than most, I was reading his articles for Coarse Fisherman back in the early eighties, This man is an original, one of the all time greatest carpers ever to have wet a line, and with a comment like yours, you aint fit to lick the slime off his carp-sack.....

Rod was born with a carp brain! if Rod tell's you to do a certain thing you do it. The man is fucking a legend and I could listen to him talk forever! Everything he says I remember! Absolute number one carp angler of all time! The thing I like is the fact that he's so tuned into it! theres no writing shit down its just there in his head! he just knows. And anyone who slates him are stupid for the fact that if they dont know who he is, then they have just exposed themselves as a total noddy!
