It seems I didn't know a lot about Diana Dors like that she could sing very well with a more than average nice voice. She was also fairly well educated and a brunette. Would have she been more successful if her handlers hadn't promoted her as an English Marilyn Monroe? I remember her acting marvelously in a movie as a murderer, albeit a sympathetic one. She could write too?
Do you know of the "Re-Introducing Diana Dors - Official Fan Page" website? Puts up some interesting current info re: the wonderful D.D. At last, "Deep End" is about to be released on DVD - one of her most underated films... never read her books, tho - with her sense of fun/humour I'm not surprised they're fun!
I do have the remastered CD 'Swingin' Dors' that this song is from. Diana Dors was a legend, and made quite a few good films and TV appearances. Her books are fun too.
Wow Diana could really sing! She wasn't just an amazing actress but a great singer too. Thanks for the brilliant post.
