  • Hi StefanB2112, the strings on a lap steel guitar usually do have wider spacing than on a standard electric, but you can still play with standard string spacing. If you are using a standard electric guitar, try getting a nut raiser to fit over the nut and that will have better string spacing. Best wishes,
