  • Love the "special" tool! Wish I'd have watched this earlier, before I trashed a new tailshaft seal trying to install it. Any advice for the front pump seal?

  • @MrDiscoHarvey Thank you for checking out our auto repair video. Currently we do not have a video on the front pump seal.

  • haha I did the seal on my truck a week ago before seeing this video. I made the exact same seal seating "tool" .

  • @charginmahlazors Thank you for checking out our auto repair channel.

  • HOW DO U CHANGE THE WHOLE TRANSFER CASE FOR A 97 FORD EXPLORER XLT

  • that looked like transmission fluid, shouldn't it be transfer case fluid? im confused. I have a leak in the same place on my 01 tahoe, and its not transmission fluid. Its the same color as my t-case fluid.

  • @sofujun If it's on the tailshaft of the transmission. it would be transmission fluid.

  • @sofujun on my 88 chevy its got atf for tcase fluid i got a couple buddys with newer ones that are that way to

  • how hard would that be on a 91 chevy silverado?

  • dude did you find out because thats what i am about to do to my 91 silverado.

  • @psykho15 We haven't shot a repair video on a 91, but if the transmission is the same as the one show in the video the process should be the same if not similar.

  • What is the name for this seal? I cannot find it listed as a "tailshaft seal".

  • Thanks, you made it look simple.
