  • I didn't see it

  • That was a bit harsh, I don't view this video posters verbage as discrediting any possible future evidence. What does thermal really do anyway other than show mysterious contacts in the woods at night. Don't get me wrong, great tool to assist in the hunt, but thermal video will never be considered prima facie evidence of sasquatch. Could help in location though, or work in concert with HD cams. I think it is great more thermal systems in hands of BF researchers. Guards against misidentification

  • @ourobouros2k2 I was a bit harsh but in this fringe area it's best to stay transparent without embellishment otherwise subjective observations will be construed as over-hyped rather than valid observations.

  • Fair enough, problem really runs rampant in ghost research...I love ghost research, however I really like 'squatching due to the amount of control you can get with your environment. Thermal really elevates that level of control and allows for easier identifcation of what is making strange sounds in your proximity.

  • Yes thermal is one of those things you wish you had earlier and makes you feel more in control in the dark. Takes some of the willys out of being in pitch black forests chasing 8 foot monkeys lol

  • P.S. "One of our members has built a great thermal camera system" ???

One of your guys bought a pan tilt unit on ebay and put a Raytheon on it.

Don't make it sound like there was any expertise in attaching the thermal onto the pan tilt unit...it sounds a little dicky and dishonest and won't bring any cred to future efforts with the device.

I do have the same pan tilt for my thermal and did not "build" it.

  • I will need to find that out for you as it belongs to one of the group members and I don't know the exact specs.

  • Nice image. What is the output specs for the thermal and what are you recording it on?

Got a thermal and remote pan tilt myself and will post a video soon.

  • Wow what an awesome piece of equipment!
