  • Search PhatCap check out the MrDubWatch Channel! Dubstep making on Maschine!

  • @Franzy138 :)

  • I love how everything from Native Instruments has a lot of flashing lights :3

Gives a little extra to the nerdgasm :D

  • Sounds like the dude is about to start crying..

  • This isn't true heartware (hahaha) because you need to drag your laptop along. Nah. Next!

  • @joe44850 *This isn't true heartware (hahaha) because you need to drag your laptop along*

Hardware means (in a pratical way) anything that you can touch and software are the oposite. So yes, Maschine is a HARDWARE CONTROLLER like any other groove box, with de difference that the processing of information occurs on the computer not in the CONTROLLER itself. A groove box is a combination of hardware and software standalone.

  • @Paladinoocara Thanks for the semantics clarification. So, does that mean I can leave my laptop at home?

  • @joe44850 *So, does that mean I can leave my laptop at home?*

I don't know if it is a ironic question, but anyway, in order to use it, you need to carry your laptop with you.

  • he wears his heartware on his sleave

  • is he saying "heartware"?

  • "Welcome my son, to the Maschine"-Pink Floyd

  • Not saying what you mentioned is not true to an extent, but you need to check out 9th Wonder's interview with SC:TV & their discussion of the Art of Sampling. Peeps just don't understand sampling & 9th explains it wonderfully here & I agree 100% because I love making sample based beats! The name is....

SC:TV: 9TH WONDER INTERVIEW: The Art of Sampling

Check it out here on Youtube.

  • ahaha that's either really bad critique or really good satire

  • I wonder can you multi sample with this

  • not feelin it , its just a controller

  • i am a bit confused... maschine come with software and hardware or i can choose to buy the software only?

  • No, you cannot buy the software alone.

  • can you sample in th software or u just drag your sample in?

  • you can sample in the software.

  • ok thanks..would like to test it..im lookin for an emulator x studio but this have the pads..

  • Hey there ..! I have 2 technics turntables and a djm 800 and the serato live and i just bought this Maschine and i know it connects to the computer but can i opperate this maschine through the mixer or do i just make my music on the computer and then transfer it to serato live to play on the turntables....? dose anybody know about this..? any answers would be greatful...!

  • I think either way would work. Create your tracks then mix them down and spin them with serato or what i'd do is use it as a live instrument and plug it to a channel on your DJ mixer and mix on top of it. If you get familiar enough with the workflow you could probably do a whole show with just the maschine. There is no right way experiment and see what you can come up with.

  • How does this compare sonically to a machinedrum?

  • Apples and oranges

  • not well then? :D

  • Well, they are both fruits...

  • NI Maschine is a controller - no audio.
