  • What an interesting fellow to have a beer with.

  • HATE his habit of calling wifey "Frau Boyle," like she has no other existence other than his wife. Besides, TC has a doctorate, so she would be Frau Doktor Boyle. And I'm sure he's never written while stoned. Like Donald Sutherland's character in Animal House, Boyle says "it's my job!" So Bill . . . what do you think?

  • "All art is an entertainment"

    "Write what you don't know"

Nice that someone dares to speak those lines. What do I want with writers writing about being a writer?

  • They address each other with first names. Is that usual practice in the US between a reviewer and a writer?

  • Around 3:00, does he call himself a "sartirist", or "satyrist"?

  • seems like a nice guy...very accessable, and a good writer, too.

  • I've recently been introduced to his work and i love it.

"Write what you don't know." I like that.

  • i had sex with this guy long before he was famous !

  • Awesome guy, i have read everthing he wrote :)

  • Although he doesn't often write for the New Yorker--that's the reason why I subscribe. His work is brilliant, hilarious, tear jerking at times and a thorough pleasure to read. What a gifted, gifted writer -- and what an insightful man.

  • He is Obscure.

  • @jskwriter87 Boyle? Are you serious?

  • @pretorious700 I mean that in the best way possible. thats why i like him actually

  • One of our greatest writers; and most certainly one of the nicest of writers.
