You should consider ways to damage you? How about Nomad Stadium, City of Brass, Grand Coliseum? Or Vassal's Duty, Torture Chamber and Jade Monolith?

I also think you should take out some of the "goodstuff"-cards that have no synergy with the deck. Cards like Stonehewer Giant, Rakshe Golden Cub and the like.

I think it best if you would drop the equipment alltogether and replace them by True Conviction, Eldrazi Monumen, Akroma's Memorial and Elesh Norn.

@MikesUltimatum Um, admittedly, people packl more artifact removal compared to land removal. The reason for that being artifact ramp tends to go crazy as compared to land ramping, since artifacts like thran dynamo...sol ring....glided lotus generate more mana then basic lands can generate.

Wayyy to much mana. I mean you have preemptive captain so that will allow you to summon your 6 costing soldiers for nothing whenever he attacks.

if u can put multiple creatures with 1 spell, u can beat a control deck. also, try luminarch ascension. coz controls tend to be pussies and not attack.

you could get a card called Eldrazi monument, creatures you control get +1/+1 have flying and are indestructible, but u have to sac a creature at the beginning of your upkeep, so if u got alot of token producers, its a big help, i got one in a regular mono non edh soldier deck

this is basically my deck modified for EDH, i was really happy when i saw that.

gustcloak savior and preeminent captain for free soldiers.

Darien, Worship and Auriok Champion insead of soul warden. (cant be killed by red or black)

also, throw Cosorted Effort in there to give all your creatures "elite" status because of all the protections and flying and first strike, etc. (Akroma for this = Win.)

if you wanna put one enchantment in that deck that will help you out alot...its called WORSHIP...it helps with your general...if u control a creature, all damage that would put you below 1 life, puts you at 1 life instead...so if something would kill you, and you have your general out, it puts you at 1 instead, and you would put out that many 1/1 tokens thanks to Darien, there is also a white counterspell that only costs 1 white...its called mana tithe i think...that helps also

I've done a lot better, I've played when Skullclamp wasn't banned in Extended and Goblin decks were disgusting. They didn't just randomly throw in spellbooks though. You just discard what you don't need. If you're drawing '12 cards a turn' (which I doubt. At that point, you should just be beating their face and winning), you're going to win off of the strength of 4-5 of those cards. Not all 12. You have no need to keep them all. Reliquary Tower is garbage.

@caldous22 U dont see the difference between Reliquary Tower and Spellbook. Spellbook is a NONLAND slot u dont want to waste. But in EDH, especially in Mono Color Decks u have tor un so many basics cuz of the low number of good nonbasics ur allowed 2 play. Reliquary tower doesnt disrupt u in any way (the colorless doesnt matter in monocolor edh) and gives u the bonus to keep all cards. Keeping all cards helps against discard spells and makes ur opponent nervous. I dont see a problem with that.

wow so ive played this game for almost 2 years now and ive just noticed taht we sound like total nerds, "well my super xp wizard armor gives my creatures +4/+4, flying, vigilance, and trample". lol wow gotta love the mtg ftw :D

I've played a similiar deck. And I find that low-mana cost decks run out pretty fast of cards and since you don't wanna be a big threat at all times you don't just wanna play alla creatures you can play, and when you're keeping your last 3/3s or something other player plays higher mana cost cards which totally eats all your cheap creatures. So instead I started with a deck that just fetches lands, improving my hands and throws some massive cards abit later in the game.

How about catapult master? Also, I didn't see whether kjeldoran outpost was one of your nonbasics, but it definitely ought to be. Finally, in white I believe honor the fallen is better than tormod's crypt as a one off graveyard denial.

Oh yes, I don't know if you folks had tried it, but Cauldron of Souls may be helpful to (towards sweepers), good political card, since you can save other ppls creatures to, the down side: saving creatures is all it does nothing more. Might be decent.

it's alright, I like the soldier interactions, seems light on support spells though, but like you said it is a rush deck, I'm undecided if I like this or not. seems like some counters (if possible) would be decent, I worry most about mass removal with this deck, ever think about adding a twilight shepherd?
