As you look at J on the sofa (:44 seconds of this video) notice the small light to the far left just above the couch. That is the TV camera's IR light. They're recording G from behind the couch. @ParanormalEvidence01 GH is going down...in hindsight, the shoddiness of the latest episodes along with constant personnel changes/absences was a clear hint. I watch GA now too...mainly for the entertainment from "Larry, Moe & Curley". I should point out that I don't believe in ghosts at all. I just like to watch it because I find it amusing. I've NEVER seen anything on a ghost show which wasn't the product of fakery, human imagination, or an artifact from the electronics.
What some here seems to have forgotten is that it is the producer of the show and the editors that decide what is kept was is cut and what is stuck together..Not the TAPS team...So if it seems that things are being spliced or edited point at the producers not at TAPS.
this isn't nearly as fake as the coat pull. That was so obvious it wasn't even funny. I think that they do catch some paranormal activity but in desperate attempts to keep audiences interested I believe they have fabricated evidence. I remember when they'd have shows and NOTHING happened. It was usually debunked. Then they'd go on their merry way. Now it always seems like the air is really "thick" and they're a lot more jumpy at sounds etc. They sold their credibility for fame.
Not to mention the camera cuts, it looks like it was two scenes spliced together, mhy guess is they tried having grant throw it a few times to get the best angle.
Here is the other thing when they are on Grant he has no flash light, and he puts his hands over his head, then they pan to Jay and the hanger is tossed they cut right back to grant and he has the flash light ON and its poiting at the hanger.

This episode aired a few weeks after their 2008 Live Halloween Special at Fort Delaware. That means it was filmed b4 the special and b4 the very contraversal coat tug and "your not supposed to be here" voice.
I've met the TAPS crew and they are very down to earth but I'm sorry this coat hanger incident fits in with the coat tug. I don't buy it.

The show is staged. Sy-Fy turned their show into a nightmare of nothing more than finding ghosts and not helping people with what's really going on (living up to the name of the show), and now Sy-Fy owns them because they are sell-out losers. Another indication that it is fake: Science Fiction Channel. Fiction is not real.

I think the show was credible before the big bucks came in from the Sci Fi network. Back 4-5 years ago it would be more likely TAPS not find anything. Once every 2-3 episodes something would materialize, now it seems every second scene there is something. Better television yes, more credible? No.
I still dont get how anyone has proven this to be a hoax. The criticism seems to fall into two categories 1) they would have jumped (which is ludicrous - it's just a hanger and not tha loud) or 2) it just can't be real, so it must be a hoax. There was that time last year or the year before where they did the live hunt and they came back too early from the break and the producer (or someone) was telling them to go back and start walking again. My thing is that this video is an edited version of the aired clip, so how can I trust the thought process going with the argument (which is that it was staged) when it shows the same clip twice of Grant on the bed shining his flashlight and saying the same exact thing?
The only problem with the theory of TAPS creating these ghosties for profit is that they have been doing it for free since 1990. I suppose they could have hoped that a network would one day be created that would one day create a popular television show that would become a huge success, but that's a little bit of a reach.
It occurs to me that most of the shows reveal debunked cases. There must be loads more that we are not seeing. I would reckon all of those are debunked cases as well.

I think some things like this possible are fake, but i dont believe that taps do the fake things (if any are fake) for money, i believe they do it for their fans or the people they are searching the buildings for.

I liked the show in the beginning but it got old really fast. EVPs? What a crock. If the recorder can hear it then it is analog, which means the ear can hear it. If it is only detectable by the recorder then it is electrical, and I've never heard electrical noise talk.

Is it wrong to still like the show, as a sort of entertainment and to indulge in suspension of disbelief for the thrill of it? I like nothing else than to be scared by the thought of ghosts and other Hollywood fare. Since horror movies don't do it for me any more, the "guise" of reality television helps to boost the freak factor - even when we're talking fakes, hangers thrown across the room, haha.

The only thing that can be alleged is that Grant threw both hangers into camera view and that the video was spliced to make it look like Grant hadn't moved on both occasions. I also note that the same sound occurred at 0:21 as at about 0:49 when the second hanger flew into camera view. Unless this video is debunked by an expert who can detect splicing of footage then the assertion that it's a fake is weak. To claim it's a fake simply by noting the positions of Grant and Jay is guess work.

my problem with so-called investigators of the paranormal is that they do such a lousy job at explaining natural phenomena, that if anyone else observing is as logically challenged as the investigator, they are usually apt to accept that phenomena as "paranormal."
Typically paranormal investigators are not scientist's. I was referring to things like Project Blue Book. There are many more cases where actual scientists and researchers were sent to study things like the Bermuda Triangle and the like. Usually these are the studies nobody is interested in because "no significant findings" were reported.
Jason and Grant are part TAPS which is a Paranormal cash-grab scheme. No member of TAPS has any credible scientific background nor have any of their findings been published in noteworthy journals. My beef with TAPS is that they pretend to be honest but so clearly aren't. TAPS is band of con-artists egged on by the Sy-Fy channel.
@oldwhitehouse That is quite a big statment to make considering that before they made the show all of the money for the equipment came from Jason and Grant as they don't charge for their services. Well that was at the start and i have been concerned about their income since from sales etc. But also very few paranormal investigators have a credible scientific background because scientists won't risk ghost hunting as they would be laughed at by other scientists who haven't even bothered to look.

The most compeling piece of evidence i notice is that on all the seasons of Ghost Hunters that network cameras never pick up anything... at all. If Ghost where so easy to spot the cameras that film these douche bags should be able to get something once and a while.
I am enjoying these debunk/fraud videos as much as I was enjoying GH and GHI when I felt they were sincere and honest investigations. I love a mystery and I love getting at the truth these are great and informative. I always go away with my own opinion and have to say i can no longer watch the show in the same way again. Really a let down but also interesting and entertaining. Thank you.
Even though I know its fake I still enjoy watching some of these shows. The editing done for some shows is quite good, like watching a decent ghost movie.
I do however get pissed sometimes with the ridiculous stuff they try to pass off. Like when they say they spent 4 days at a location, even though they are wearing the same thing throughout the episode, or clips like this.

I do too and I didn't think I was going to. The halloween episode was the only one that felt really off to me. It was uncomfortable to watch actually it was dang awkward. I think maybe syfy put in those extra effects to make sure it was a good live show. I noticed mostly how Jason tried to ignore all the fakery I think he panicked and didn't want any part of it. I have never liked ghost shows they have always seemed fake but this one won me over. Damn them :) I'm still a fan.

I'm not saying I completely believe but I don't think they fake it. Their whole reason for creating TAPS was to debunk people's claims of hauntings and they do debunk a lot of them. The only time they say it's haunted FOR SURE is if they catch things in evidence not just personal experience.

Searching for the full episode shot at my mother's house last year I stumbled upon this clip...I should have known there would be such a lengthy debate. As I've told the tons of people who have asked me, no, NOBODY who has ever lived or even slept in this house truly believed this footage. I can't believe people still believe these guys after all the hoaxes, Grant pulling the lamp in the Myrtle Plantation, the 2008 live debacle, this episode. Those who say they do if for free are wrong, pilgrim productions actually scouts out sites for them to visit and GH asks permission to come there, the whole "phone call for help" bit is staged. The "Slave Shack" the lamp was in wasn't even on Myrtle plantation property until it was bought and is only about 30-40 years old.
Ghost Hunters is a standard measure of a sort. If someone can't tell that these guys are shysters, they'll believe any crap you sell them. Literally. Anything. Quick, tell them about that pyramid scheme you've been checking out! The argument that the hanger rack was on the opposite side of the room from Grant is incorrect. I remember the episode and the rack was almost right behind Grants left shoulder. I mean, he still could have thrown the hanger, but even if it were paranormal it still would have come from the same area.
First of all the second hanger seem to come from the opposite side of the room where the hanger rack isn't,it looks as though it comes from Grants position. And secondly if I'm sitting in a room investigating the paranormal and a hanger or anything flies or floats across the room I going to be positioning my camera on the hanger rack to see if it happens again. I am absolutely skeptical about this scene,after all if nothing happens for awhile,they have keep their show interesting somehow right.?

The person who posted this has spliced the footage to make it look fake. Watch at 0.22 Jay's arm is back and his torch is beside him on the chair. Suddenly the film is spliced and he is automatically holding the torch and has his arm on his chest.

I watch GA now too...mainly for the entertainment from "Larry, Moe & Curley". I should point out that I don't believe in ghosts at all. I just like to watch it because I find it amusing. I've NEVER seen anything on a ghost show which wasn't the product of fakery, human imagination, or an artifact from the electronics.

What some here seems to have forgotten is that it is the producer of the show and the editors that decide what is kept was is cut and what is stuck together..Not the TAPS team...So if it seems that things are being spliced or edited point at the producers not at TAPS.

this isn't nearly as fake as the coat pull. That was so obvious it wasn't even funny. I think that they do catch some paranormal activity but in desperate attempts to keep audiences interested I believe they have fabricated evidence. I remember when they'd have shows and NOTHING happened. It was usually debunked. Then they'd go on their merry way. Now it always seems like the air is really "thick" and they're a lot more jumpy at sounds etc. They sold their credibility for fame.

This episode aired a few weeks after their 2008 Live Halloween Special at Fort Delaware. That means it was filmed b4 the special and b4 the very contraversal coat tug and "your not supposed to be here" voice.
I've met the TAPS crew and they are very down to earth but I'm sorry this coat hanger incident fits in with the coat tug. I don't buy it.

Im pretty sure TAPS is at least pressured by producers to step things up - but in this clip, I dont see where the flying clothes hanger is debunked. Yeah, sure somebody could have tossed it, but I did not see where a person was caught in the act.
Personally I've seen things move and all sorts of wierd stuff. I dont have it on film, have nothing to gain by telling it - and yes I even checked to see if I was being pranked. No explanation for some events Ive seen. So where's the expose' here?

The show is staged. Sy-Fy turned their show into a nightmare of nothing more than finding ghosts and not helping people with what's really going on (living up to the name of the show), and now Sy-Fy owns them because they are sell-out losers. I think the show was credible before the big bucks came in from the Sci Fi network. Back 4-5 years ago it would be more likely TAPS not find anything. Once every 2-3 episodes something would materialize, now it seems every second scene there is something. Better television yes, more credible? No.

I still dont get how anyone has proven this to be a hoax. The criticism seems to fall into two categories 1) they would have jumped (which is ludicrous - it's just a hanger and not tha loud) or 2) it just can't be real, so it must be a hoax. There's a lot of stuff staged on this show - the intros, the evidence "review", but I've looked at a dozen vids on youtube of supposed fakery and still nothing....

There was that time last year or the year before where they did the live hunt and they came back too early from the break and the producer (or someone) was telling them to go back and start walking again. The only problem with the theory of TAPS creating these ghosties for profit is that they have been doing it for free since 1990. I suppose they could have hoped that a network would one day be created that would one day create a popular television show that would become a huge success, but that's a little bit of a reach.
It occurs to me that most of the shows reveal debunked cases. There must be loads more that we are not seeing. I would reckon all of those are debunked cases as well.

I liked the show in the beginning but it got old really fast. EVPs? What a crock. If the recorder can hear it then it is analog, which means the ear can hear it. If it is only detectable by the recorder then it is electrical, and I've never heard electrical noise talk.
Jason and Grant are about as interesting as chalk dust. I only watched it to check out Donna (what a babe!). I can use Google for that.
Do I believe in spirits? Yes. Can I explain them? No. But neither can this show.

Is it wrong to still like the show, as a sort of entertainment and to indulge in suspension of disbelief for the thrill of it? I like nothing else than to be scared by the thought of ghosts and other Hollywood fare. Since horror movies don't do it for me any more, the "guise" of reality television helps to boost the freak factor - even when we're talking fakes, hangers thrown across the room, haha.
So is it wrong to know it's b.s., but to enjoy the show as entertainment ?

The only thing that can be alleged is that Grant threw both hangers into camera view and that the video was spliced to make it look like Grant hadn't moved on both occasions. I also note that the same sound occurred at 0:21 as at about 0:49 when the second hanger flew into camera view. Unless this video is debunked by an expert who can detect splicing of footage then the assertion that it's a fake is weak. To claim it's a fake simply by noting the positions of Grant and Jay is guess work.

Typically paranormal investigators are not scientist's. I was referring to things like Project Blue Book. There are many more cases where actual scientists and researchers were sent to study things like the Bermuda Triangle and the like. Usually these are the studies nobody is interested in because "no significant findings" were reported.

Well that was at the start and i have been concerned about their income since from sales etc. But also very few paranormal investigators have a credible scientific background because scientists won't risk ghost hunting as they would be laughed at by other scientists who haven't even bothered to look.

The most compeling piece of evidence i notice is that on all the seasons of Ghost Hunters that network cameras never pick up anything... at all. If Ghost where so easy to spot the cameras that film these douche bags should be able to get something once and a while.

I am enjoying these debunk/fraud videos as much as I was enjoying GH and GHI when I felt they were sincere and honest investigations. I love a mystery and I love getting at the truth these are great and informative. I always go away with my own opinion and have to say i can no longer watch the show in the same way again. Really a let down but also interesting and entertaining. Thank you.

Even though I know its fake I still enjoy watching some of these shows. The editing done for some shows is quite good, like watching a decent ghost movie.
I do however get pissed sometimes with the ridiculous stuff they try to pass off. Like when they say they spent 4 days at a location, even though they are wearing the same thing throughout the episode, or clips like this.
I mean seriously...Holy crap! Where did that hanger come from? I guess this comment board wants me to leave

I do too and I didn't think I was going to. The halloween episode was the only one that felt really off to me. It was uncomfortable to watch actually it was dang awkward. I think maybe syfy put in those extra effects to make sure it was a good live show. I noticed mostly how Jason tried to ignore all the fakery I think he panicked and didn't want any part of it. I have never liked ghost shows they have always seemed fake but this one won me over. Damn them :) I'm still a fan.

Of course it is fake, you think they would be a little more blown out about the whole thing if it was real. and unless i see the hanger leave the rack on its own i aint believin shit. you people that believe this is real are just gullable. Think about it.. the show needs ratings.. people would not watch if nothin happend.. so.. they make stuff happen to keep people interested.. plese think about it some more before you buy into this garbage.

how many conclusions can you all come up with "Thinking TAPS fakes their evidence or the show" Because it's quite entertaining on how many answers you guys come up with... Jason left the show MTV FEAR because they faked evidence.. Why leave a show that fakes evidence and put your whole life on the line, just to do the same thing? Makes no sense... It's not. If you watch the show enough you'll see all of the TAPS members experience things.
I'm not saying I completely believe but I don't think they fake it. Their whole reason for creating TAPS was to debunk people's claims of hauntings and they do debunk a lot of them. The only time they say it's haunted FOR SURE is if they catch things in evidence not just personal experience.

What I wanna know is why after they heard something hit the camera man didn't turn to look at the coat hanger rack. Maybe the sound guy hasn't mad it outta the room after tossing the hanger. Hmmmmmmm. I am sorry, but anyone who believes TAPS is an idiot. Being an investigator myself, I would rather lose my show and sell hot dogs on the street than fake evidence. Hopefully within a couple years everyone will come to there senses and kick these fakes off television. That's all I'm saying.

Having lived here for 20 years, and being a very skeptical individual by nature, I can promise you something other than my fam. has consistently contributed another kind of spirit/energy within this house. They did tell my mom magnetic charges w/in old pipes in the house could cause paranoia, etc (as told on other episodes) not sure why they failed to air that info...but beyond that, years of seeing, hearing and a pseudo-communication with them is what I can promise to you! =)

But what gets me angry is there are so many people who want to believe, including myself, but when you see obvious fakery, they are taking advantage of people for their own gain, Money. Jay and Grant are listed as producers, Sy Fy has changed the description of GH to "Docu-Soap" There isn't even any proof of EMF sensitivity, and FLIR only picks up solid objects, so these hot ghosts are solid. The house of cards will fall soon.

I can't believe people still believe these guys after all the hoaxes, Grant pulling the lamp in the Myrtle Plantation, the 2008 live debacle, this episode. Those who say they do if for free are wrong, pilgrim productions actually scouts out sites for them to visit and GH asks permission to come there, the whole "phone call for help" bit is staged. The "Slave Shack" the lamp was in wasn't even on Myrtle plantation property until it was bought and is only about 30-40 years old.

The argument that the hanger rack was on the opposite side of the room from Grant is incorrect. I remember the episode and the rack was almost right behind Grants left shoulder. I mean, he still could have thrown the hanger, but even if it were paranormal it still would have come from the same area.

First of all the second hanger seem to come from the opposite side of the room where the hanger rack isn't,it looks as though it comes from Grants position. And secondly if I'm sitting in a room investigating the paranormal and a hanger or anything flies or floats across the room I going to be positioning my camera on the hanger rack to see if it happens again. I am absolutely skeptical about this scene,after all if nothing happens for awhile,they have keep their show interesting somehow right.?

Don't u realise a lot of ppl have watched this footage on tv already.. Wether or not the hanger was physically thrown by 1 of the guys or a "ghost" has nothing to do with it, it's the fact that u spliced this scene.. Fuck! i saw the episode that is being "analyzed" here and my god you HACKED this scene apart horribly. Grant says "i dont know" to when the hanger fell the first time IN the closet. you hacked and spliced the second time into the first reaction. sorry but not even a nice try here, just all around horrible.

The first clip shown has been spliced! Jay's "what was that" was not a response to the hanger.
The person who posted this has spliced the footage to make it look fake. Watch at 0.22 Jay's arm is back and his torch is beside him on the chair. Suddenly the film is spliced and he is automatically holding the torch and has his arm on his chest.
In the next clip his legs are crossed differently.
Skepticviewer has rearranged the footage to make it look like it all comes from the same incident!
