  • This should be titled Hack Action Figure or Action Figure Modification. Custom is a term that is used in the industry to indicate that an item has been sculpted/modeled from scratch according to specifications.

  • @laurenlev4 Well, this term has long been in use by the first people who started customizing figures. So, I'm not gonna change it now. I'm just using their word. :D If I don't, they wont know what i'm talking about!!

  • @laurenlev4 Also, the better customizers, actually DO sculpt and model from scratch, even down to making their own joints. Lots of them frankenstein. Some, even do a simple paint job...but we all still consider it "Custom"

  • YOUR SO BADASS

  • your sink needs cleaned!!!

  • @NINPHMTDS i've tried!! its stuck on!! i know im grossed out toO!

  • You Rock

  • i know it was a dremel but what was the peice on the top called?

  • @Supersonicboom1996 on top of what

  • @TheCookiinCompany i think they mean the bit you used.

  • @NINPHMTDS psssshhh i have no clue.

  • what piece tool was that called, when u was using the dremel tool

  • @Supersonicboom1996 ...a dremmel

  • if I WERE YOU I WOULD MAKE A Sindel Costum Out OF Sliver Banche

  • Loved the whole tutorial.

  • where do you get the nail; buffer, apoxie sculpt, the dremel, and the paint that stays on the figure! Just respond at my channel!

  • @c0nvurs3 ..or..you can actually watch my videos!!

  • @TheCookiinCompany ok im sorry

  • can you explain to me where i get the supplies! Especially the apoxie

  • Lol, sorry I asked that question before watching the whole video.. XD

  • @Aliun625 apology accepted! ^_^ hehehe

  • @TheCookiinCompany Haha,Thanks:3 this is my new custom Venom figure, I've improved a lot since my first one

    Here's my first- watch?v=PcDiSe8KGPU&feature=channel_video_title

    and here's my latest- watch?v=YK3GExw_R24&feature=channel_video_title

Please let me know what you think :)

  • Awesome tutorial!!!! :3, do you own a Dremel tool?

  • What a cute voice!!

  • how much you purchase that sanding tool for?

  • @USB4000 idk, i got it from a friend..never actually bought it ^_^;;;; there are lot of different models to choose from so just go and find out for yourself, surf the web, look in the hardware stores..etc. im sure you'll find one that fits your budget!

  • it seams like i ask alot of question but what is a thershold?

  • @sammyandbear16 would you block me

and he said i was harassing him i dont see that

  • @sammyandbear16 and a said please tell me in CAPS but that is still not harassing and it was different question for different videos how meany comments do you get a day?

  • @sammyandbear16 in a day? idk, cause i check my messages several times a day, and each time usually about 10 videos will have at least one new message (the messaging system only shows one new comment per video, to see the rest i have to click "see all")

  • @sammyandbear16 if I thought you were harassing me, YES I would block you. I have blocked people who harassed me on utub before (or spam my videos/inbox), and I will NOT hesitate to do so again.

  • Respond to this video...

  • so i was talking hunterknight customs to get more info and he block me i did nto swear or anything it make me pisted! he said that i harrassed him but all i did was ask ? about all the action figures i had ? about

  • @sammyandbear16 well you can't do anything about it now, clearly he does not want to talk with you anymore, so I would just leave him alone. There are still hundred of really good customizers out there who may wish to help you out with your questions...however the best way to get info is to read the tutorials and guides that they have already written, and then AFTER you try out and practice those techniques, go to the customizers and inquire further.

  • @sammyandbear16 trust me, it gets realllly annoying when people constantly ask you the same basic questions over and over and over again, i don't blame him. I just haven't reached my threshold yet to start blocking people

  • Ok this will be my first custom should i use a marvel universe 3/4 inch action figure/ And if that is ok would it be a good idea to use a black widow action figure to make a Emma frost Custom?Please help me Soon! :{

  • good method with the hot water, also should note you can also use a hair dryer to heat up the parts to pop em off. great custom figure tutorial though.

  • @Impiousmember yeah except i dont own..a hair dryer...

  • Is completely amazing! I had done my Sindel customized figure, a character in Mortal Kombat actually uploaded a video of that figure, but recently I did it again but with modifications :D

  • @jonytape cool!

  • @TheCookiinCompany thats amazing

  • okay will do!

  • Thanks that head would be the perfect head for Psylocke

  • @pea55 dont forget to make a video and link it here

  • the action figure's head that you used..... what figure is that

  • @pea55 Maria Hill

  • 2:15 thats what she said.

  • @TheCookiinCompany Sorry, I've been trying to reply by haven't been able to. Youtube hates me. Anyway, some of the customizers I know use wax to sculpt detail, then cast the parts with casting agents(usually with silicone molds and resin). A wax gun is used for creating the details on the original wax or plastic. If you google glassman wax custom, a really great tutorial appears on the front page.

  • what if your a boy and has no nail polish remover

  • @MrSpidey101 there's a really good trick for that: Walk into any store, ANY non-specialty store, just like a convience store, target, walmart, drug store (cvs, riteaid, longs, walgreens, etc.), and look around for a minute. If it's not immediately obvious to you that the make-up section is near the cashiers, ask an employee to show you the way. Reach out with your hand, grab hold of a bottle. Now bring it to the cashier and throw $2 at them. Problem SOLVED.

  • @TheCookiinCompany sand paper works better

  • @MrSpidey101 for removing paint? o_O i guess you are not trying to do the same thing I am. So to each his own! I also use sandpaper a lot, but not to remove paint...maybe i'd do that if i was trying to like..do a house or something ...idk lol but i don't want to ruin my figures...

  • I brought a Dremel but it dont spin what kind of dremel u have?

  • @drakozero8 Dremmel Multi-Pro I have used 2 different kinds of dremmel and they both spin...

  • Very good tutorial series. Ever considered using wax and a wax gun for detailing? Very impressed that you do your painting free hand.

  • @Luthor76 wax isn't very permanent, and whats a wax gun? thank you ^_^

  • @Luthor76 how come u wont tell me a wax gun is for? ;-;

  • Thanks this is really helpful, what did you use two remove the left collar would it be the same way to remove marvel legends luke cage's chain and collar?

  • @mkpn17 just some wire cutters..you'd have to cut off his collar

  • Comment removed

  • were did you get those action figures

  • @redj023 o_o lol wut? sounds like ur accusing me of something...! I just bought them from various sources..toy stores, ebay, other stores, trade...etc.

  • i use my mom's hair dryer work's like a charm and it's faster

  • @asddsdsssd my sink actually heats VERY quickly..sometimes burn my hands when im in a hurry to wash my hands ;-; but to each his own!

  • do you do the same thing for the hasbro star wars figures

  • @ChillyDawg219 that really depends on what you are talking about specifically, but yea, you would need to prep any toy accordingly before customizing it.

  • a question I'm from chile but English that material is that?

    please reply XD

  • @lordkevinxx what is your question?

  • cool video. i want to start customizing some of things in my collection. ive tried a little painting. its harder than i thought. lol

  • @thebatnest lol just keep at it!

  • pie :)

  • This is a very good tutorial :)

  • @borokman aw thanks a lot...my painting video is long delayed cause im having second thoughts about it's quality..but..it'll come out ^_^;;

  • Let me say: Amazing video! Just awesome; a lot of help! But I have a question: I want to make a DCU Reverse-Flash figure (familiar?) using a DCU Flash figures body, because they are identical, minus the color inversion. Do I have to remove the head, even though the heads are practically the same?

  • @QtLeigh32 Heck no! Save your self the trouble. You only need to take the head off if you are doing a head swap ( in other words switching it with a different head). Remember the goal of Customizing is to make it as close as possible to the target character. So if yours looks exactly like the base body..great! less work to do. Simple paint job FTW!!

  • Great Turtorial :)

  • @andro6657 thanks, im working on the next one already ^_^

  • Yes , Very Professional . Thanks a lot !!!!!

  • @chiripitio haha i wish! thanks ^_^

  • wheres dash?

  • what if tou have to take off a coat or something but the arm joints are on the coat? plz reply

  • @bowhuntergman what figure are you talking about? i cant picture it.

  • @bowhuntergman well it turned out the coat had arm holes, i never took a good enough look at it before :P

  • @bowhuntergman lol thats always a good thing to do..and yeah they usually do have arm holes.

  • Wonder how to make a raven off Teen Titans?

  • @CrunchyNutKBar that figure is already out o_o

  • @StarfishBlack aw sorry its coming up soon i promise :D

  • ...Okay I have three questions.

    1) What do you look like? Can you show us a video of you?

    2) When will part 2 be released?

    3) How do you record when you used two hands at the same time? Did you use a tripod or did someone hold the camera for you?

Anyways, I enjoyed the video. :D

  • @TheTalentedT 1) I look like a monkey, and I smell like one too.

    2) Part 2 will be forthcoming in the next coupla days ( maybe sooner, I'll work on it today)

3)Who told you I only have two hands?

    Thanks alot ^_^
