I made my own for about 300 in material and lots of labor....Keep the sport alive and make your own.....It doesnt cost that much to make one....he's ripping people off.
darn speed wobble. My borad is totally fine till you lay down all the way. Just build a luge in the shape of a flying v and road the thing right into the crub. ripped a wing off and twisted the heck out of my shitty foot pegs, but it survived emergency surgery and should be back out tomorrow. hopefully this time i have the weight distrubtion correct. Luckly my crash was minor since I don't own leathers yet. This minor crash makes me think i might want to get on that.
Wow this street luge looks like great fun. Props, it was a good video man, will watch the redemption next. I was thinking on every turn you took OMGOMGOMG WHERE ARE THE BRAKES! hahaha! But apparently its like sky diving adjusting your body and altering the air flow. Keep up with making these vids though very high quality, good music, fun to watch.
wtf dooder?!?!? ...if you kindA wake frome this s#%& up! ...youLL start to woble!! no your center of mass got to be low! :) diggin!?!?! :DDDD so it means it aint good do L ya self!!!! ...couse you will bail!!!! delayz are bad thing!! :DDD! hope you are all good now! ;) keep on doin it! :D cheerZ
I know that road. Grew up driving it (lived in Hopwood) as fast as I could just for fun. Was scary sometimes even then, and I had seat belts, power steering and brakes! Always little traffic and very smooth. Hope you're better soon!
@chivalryx1" natural selection" only an idiot would compare that to an extreme sport...... Its the people that do this type of stuff that push through the bull shit and survive longer than you. adrenaline is the key to everything.
@chivalryx1 I guess its easy too call people idiots when you are too much of a chicken shit to do anything...you are probably world of warcraft nerd...go slay some dragons moron.
We like your video so much we made it Video of the Day on Facebook! We are glad you are o.k.!
facebook.com/ goprocamera
Stop by and tell our fans how you made such a great video! They always love to hear about what settings were used and any other tips and tricks that will help them make great GoPro videos too!
Question???? how do you get away with putting copy right music to your video? I have a GoPro HD and want to upload videos but each time I do with copy right music noone can watch it or hear the music....Please Help
PS. that was wicked cool even the crash was pretty wild hope your all good
Was that 5 or 6 tumbles???? beats my 3 on Mt. Scott! Wow! you even lost a shoe!!!! THAT is a smackdown...when you lose a shoe. I attached velcro ankle straps to my brakeshoes to make sure they stay on...still hairline fractured my ankle! And two layers of goat hide across the glove knuckles(first things to grind!) What 'Parting Gifts' did this accident leave YOU with??? Let me guess...you are also right handed(?) hand that took most of the damage. Nothing Advil and time won't fix(?)
In case you are interested. I have two SL's and I'm not going to put Comp II's on BOTH. So...I tried a cheaper step first: On my luge with (flipped)P-195s(and Seismic Speedvents)I added Surfrodz 40mm axle extensions(80mm overall width increase). Between those and cleaned bearings I ran Mt Scott faster than I ever have and (with added width/stability)took the corners much faster. STILL slide but overall faster and better. Since you run P-195s too you may want to try it? Very worth the 100 dlrs.
that rtide was giving you constant warnings that your luge is NOT in tune. But it really is not how fast you can go, (68???)it is how fast you can go AND be in control. This luge was warning you it was going to kick your ass all the way down(spwobs)and then it did. I think your bushings and truck adjustment are the bigger issue.
@pencon61 All the roads we ride are not extremely populated and have no blind drive ways, lol thats kind of like asking a sky diver what he'd do if his parachute didnt open... just one of the dangers..
@tropicalburstqt2 Good answer! The 'What if' crowd assumes we don't think of this stuff. We DO. I have had a bus pull out in front of me and a car turn right in front of me and STOP in my lane. You do what you have to do. I got by. The 'What if'?' crowd will never 'get it'. Respect for your ride...my comment was only going to the fact that you cannot fight physics and your luge was off on that ride. Best to you coming back!
@tropicalburstqt2 I envy your road! That is a nice road! i noticed how clear of car entries it is...a HUGE plus! At least the few who have pulled right out in front of me have had the 'courtesy' to LOOK RIGHT AT ME before they did! 0_o I'm always ready to 'bite the bullet' and hopefully 'find a way' around whatever comes up. I don't get scared...there is no time to get scared AND do what you need to. SL is a challenge on many levels. Keep it up and thanks for the enlightening video.
Woah, gnarly crash dude! Do you think that you could have handled that crash any better or was there any choice in the matter. Luckily I haven't had any bails yet, but it's bound to be coming.
Wobbles are scary at those speeds. I'm a quite bit more conservative and would have elected to slow down at the first sign of wobbles. It doesn't look like that run has a lot of tight turns and you could probably tighten up your truck bushings by a turn or so to help. I give you kudos for having the cajones to try to ride them through.
it was a great run until then man... we were cruisin, good thing you were a bit faster than me and i had time to brake and avoid you after you started rolling. speedy recovery bro!
Not 2 bad I am glad you were wearing protective gear and your ok.
ride hard ride fast ride safe. if your ever in the Arizona area hit me up I love to luge.
take care.
