At the end of this arc his focus was solely on Riruka and Orihime, but mostly Orihime. Rukia even says his name and he doesn't pay her any attention. Also, I hate using this one, but it's a shonen manga guys, Orihime is the only character that's given a direct love confession, Kubo is not going to go and break her heart especially considering she's one of his favourite characters.

She gives him resolve, case and point, during his fight with Grimmjow and during his training with Ginjo.
And you can't hold her fear against her, like I said, she realized what she was doing was wrong and got over it, adding to her character development, which yes, basically all of her character development is for Ichigo. Ulquiorra did shit for her, provoking someone into standing up for their friends is not making that person stronger, it's emotional abuse... and everytime she stood up to him it was for her friends, and in the case of the heart, for Ichigo. Now who makes her stronger again?
Ichigo treats Orihime more softly then any of his friends, hell, even softer then his sisters sometimes (at least Karin). Ichigo may have gained his bankai and everything to save Rukia, but I still don't see how that's substantial evidence that he has romantic feelings for her. Ichigo was not alright when Orihime was frightened of his Hollow mask, Nel confirmed this (and lol@ the idiots who don't take her judgement seriously). Orihime got over her fear and realized what she was doing was wrong.
Notice how when Rukia was close to death she didn't think of Ichigo at all? All her thoughts were on Orihime and Kaien, Rukia treats Ichigo like a child. Their relationship has had no development at all since the first arc, don't even try to deny that, and don't give me your bullshit "Fade to Black" arguments because they're invalid for 2 reasons; one, it's not canon. Two, Kubo even said that they're relationship isn't romantic in an interview for that movie.

The first ship I liked in Bleach was RenRuki, seriously, Ichigo even said himself that he needed to save Rukia because he owed her... but Renji actually wanted to save her because he cared so deeply about her, everything Renji does is for Rukia. Stop hating on Orihime guys, you're just mad because she's a definite threat to Ichiruki (well, not everyone, I've met people that just genuinely dislike her character, which is fine) and you just don't want to admit it.

It's sad how people twist Ichigo and Rukia's obviously platonic relationship into a romantic one. What's special about their dynamic IS their platonic relationship, it's like he sees her as another version of himself, if you will. When I first started reading Bleach (yes, the manga, where SP can't pervert people's minds with their Ichiruki bias) I was expecting to like Ichiruki, and I looked for it, but I never saw it. What I did see was a really great platonic relationship.
Hmm I read on Wiki I think that Kubo, when asked by a fan, said that he was not interested in creating pairings because he didn't want the anime to be some kind of romance. So after I read that I couldn't really see pairings myself, i think IchiHime is kinda one-sided and IchiRuki might happen someday in the quite distant future, maybe. Don't get me wrong though, I still enjoy the idea of the pairings, I just can't really see them myself. this vid is more cute than sad to me, sweet

The Rukia Kaien moments aren't really sad, sad would be the little parts with Rangiku and Gin when we finally found out he wasn't really Aizen's but Rangiku's.

I genuienly like Ichihime, and this scene was quite touching. Honestly IchiRuki wont happen guys, give it up. RenRuki is more cannon. The two of them have showed NO signs of romance. There has been plenty of hints between Ichigo and Orihime. I think Orihime is quite a good character especially in the latest manga chapters.

@stoleaccount Before Ichigo even knew he could go hollow mode he gained his own shigami powers and achieved bankai in mere weeks before breaking into Soul Society just to save Rukia in Season two. That is a massive achievement in a small amount of time as well just to save Rukia. Just because it is before he had a hollow form doesn't discredit the extreme's Ichigo went to in order to protect Rukia. And that's just the way Ichigo is he will achieve the impossible to save his friends

It's not that I don't appreciate you for having your own opinion, but for one, just because Orihime has bigger breasts than Rukia (If that's what you mean by "funbags") , doean't mean she's more suited for Ichigo. It's the personality that makes a relationship, looks are a bonus but Rukia's elegant and graceful. Far better then being tipsy 90% of the time. Another thing, Ichigo's dad had a child, and he's a shinigami. A retired one at the lease. It's not weird for me. :)
Back to the video, it's sad and cute :) Obviously, concerning my recent posts, I'm not a IchiHime fan, but I accept that they have their moments. Though I agree with Diana734. Rukia and Kaien's moment were by far the saddest thing to happen in Bleach history.
I dont hate Orihime. I happen to think she is a wonderful character. She is an original character and she is actually one of my favorites. I admire all of her traits.
Yet we should all be able to tell who Ichigo cares about most.
This *is* a sad scene of Orihime's, but I think there are more emotional ones when she's in Huenco Mundo and Ichigo is fighting Grimmjow, or when he's fighting Ulquiorra and she sees him about to be killed. I think these are her better scenes personally :)

The Rukia Kaien moments aren't really sad, sad would be the little parts with Rangiku and Gin when we finally found out he wasn't really Aizen's but Rangiku's.

@MrMankey81 Ulquiorra had captured her, and in order to induce Stockholme Syndrome, he let her have twelve hours to say goodbye to one person, but under the condition that she didn't tell anyone what was going to happen or remove a bracelet that would make it so that no one would notice her.

I genuienly like Ichihime, and this scene was quite touching. Honestly IchiRuki wont happen guys, give it up. RenRuki is more cannon. The two of them have showed NO signs of romance. There has been plenty of hints between Ichigo and Orihime. I think Orihime is quite a good character especially in the latest manga chapters.

@SoraKairiRiku4eva I agree, I don't think IchiRuki will happen, however, for some reason, I can't see RenRuki happening either. Not that I don't want it to, but Rukia just doesn't seem interested. XD But I remember the first time I watched this, I was SO pissed off (1:21). I thought she would do it, and Ichigo would wake up and she'd tell him how she felt before she left, without telling him why she was leaving. And then he'd realise his feelings and be even more determined to save her...

I don't think Ichigo has any feeling for Rukia, I mean, when do you see Ichigo turning hollow mode JUST for Rukia? NONE! Well, maybe like once. But most of the time you see Ichigo turning into hollow mode and crazy JUST to protect Orihime. Thus, I can conclude that Ichigo do care about Orihime a lot but it might be just me because Ichigo pretty much cares for everyone.

@stoleaccount Before Ichigo even knew he could go hollow mode he gained his own shigami powers and achieved bankai in mere weeks before breaking into Soul Society just to save Rukia in Season two. That is a massive achievement in a small amount of time as well just to save Rukia. Just because it is before he had a hollow form doesn't discredit the extreme's Ichigo went to in order to protect Rukia. And that's just the way Ichigo is he will achieve the impossible to save his friends

It's not that I don't appreciate you for having your own opinion, but for one, just because Orihime has bigger breasts than Rukia (If that's what you mean by "funbags") , doean't mean she's more suited for Ichigo. It's the personality that makes a relationship, looks are a bonus but Rukia's elegant and graceful. Far better then being tipsy 90% of the time. Another thing, Ichigo's dad had a child, and he's a shinigami. A retired one at the lease. It's not weird for me. :)

Back to the video, it's sad and cute :) Obviously, concerning my recent posts, I'm not a IchiHime fan, but I accept that they have their moments. Though I agree with Diana734. Rukia and Kaien's moment were by far the saddest thing to happen in Bleach history.

I dont hate Orihime. I happen to think she is a wonderful character. She is an original character and she is actually one of my favorites. I admire all of her traits.

This *is* a sad scene of Orihime's, but I think there are more emotional ones when she's in Huenco Mundo and Ichigo is fighting Grimmjow, or when he's fighting Ulquiorra and she sees him about to be killed. I think these are her better scenes personally :)

He dies twice, once when Uliquiorra punched a hole in his chest and then Orihime revived him and he fought Grimmjow. Again when Uliquiorra punches a hole in his chest; the inner hollow takes control and he goes into his 2nd Hollow Release.
