She's very classy and obviously working well within her technique.  What a dead audience. - they must have taken tranquilizers before the performance.

I don't think it is very recent. Audiences get more vocal every year and what is normal nowadays may have seen vulgar then.

@oldoperafan I'm primarily an opera fan (pirate/live performances much prefered) and audiences in the 50s & 60s were very involved. Also, Russian audiences in the great old days of the Kirov and Bolshoi were fantastically involved, and as well, quite amazingly knowledgeble and discerning. I see neither the honest enthusiasm nor the understanding of the art in audiences today. Ever hear a Leyla Gencer audience? Or one for Sizova or Terekhova?

@resborzage I meant this was a few years ago, sorry. Who knows what happened to the audience here... Yes, I am originally an opera fan who got lost in ballet (hence my username), and love the live opera recordings from Italy where audience would spoil for a fight. Gone, now.
