Personally, I find it ridiculous that people today have the audacity to actually talk the way they do. As a fellow musician, I agree with Justin's comments about put up or shut up. I'm nowhere near as talented as Justin, but I play what I do for my own satisfaction, for the love of playing it. Being a musician shouldn't mean you're a performing monkey that caters to the voice of your fans. After all, the only way to be happy in this life is to live up to YOUR OWN standards, not anyone else's.
@lemurmenarezen listen to "knock on wood" from this same guy, it's pretty much the same same solo in some of it's parts, but with a delightful entering.

I think he should be in a math rock type band like Maps & Atlases. That kind of guitar playing does not belong in pop...it just sounds bad. Maps & Atlases uses it really well.

The TWO "Justin King's" are obvious fakes. The video is decent for your average everyday run-of-the-mill "band of the week", but doesn't measure up to Justin's other youtube videos. The solo is completely out of place and makes the song seem like a weird excuse for Justin to once again pull out the same solo. (It's ok Mr. King, I watch your videos because I LIKE your amazing talent. Don't make me sit through a highly cliche song to hear it!)

I think that he may not have reached the height of popularity due to some struggles with Sony. Apparently, there were creative differences with the band and the label, releasing an album and promoting it is hard to do with out a label, BUT it is do able! I look forward to all of their songs...
Enjoy the music. Justin is not a sell-out pop-label artist as some seem to have the impression. There are, in fact, many versions of Change; Justin left Epic because the music industry has indeed changed for the worse. He has since released albums independently so he could have creative control.

Justin is an amazing guitarist as well as vocalist. I am glad that he is exploring commercial possabilities. Because justin instrumental music is awsome. But is over most peoples heads. Getting your music, and talent to the masses is a great move. I hope he enjoys some commercial success. It is a new horizon.

I think that he may not have reached the height of popularity due to some struggles with Sony. Apparently, there were creative differences with the band and the label, releasing an album and promoting it is hard to do with out a label, BUT it is do able! I look forward to all of their songs...

Enjoy the music. Justin is not a sell-out pop-label artist as some seem to have the impression. There are, in fact, many versions of Change; Justin left Epic because the music industry has indeed changed for the worse. He has since released albums independently so he could have creative control.
Anyway. If you don't like it that's cool too.

Justin is an amazing guitarist as well as vocalist. I am glad that he is exploring commercial possabilities. Because justin instrumental music is awsome. But is over most peoples heads. Getting your music, and talent to the masses is a great move. I hope he enjoys some commercial success. It is a new horizon.
When you play as well as justin does. Their is know reason to bring that talent to a commercial venue.

You probably won't like it though, I understand from your statements that you live and die by the verse chorus verse. It's about an hour of improvisation on two themes with guitar and piano. I'm going to have to agree with Dragonaut. Justin King is awesome, but this song is not very good at all (At least when I listen to it.) I don't understand your karaoke comment that seems to be implicated towards Dragonaut. He said his CD was mostly improv... he even offered to network with you a little and trade music. You also can have an opinion whether or not you write. The music is for the people, so the people are the ones that matter. Talent or no talent.

He's actualy a very good song writer.. like this pop stuff isn't an example of it at all but if you watch his acoustic work Justin king is an amazing guitarist, he's probably just doing this out of guilty pleasure or something I guess? or he just likes making pop rock?
