  • Cleveland BRT buses are powered by CAT, when RTA had the buses on display

at the Greater Cleveland Auto show in February 2008, RTA passed out the spec

sheet on these buses. Also these were the last set that RTA ordered with CAT

engines, The NABI Fleet 2601-2650 and NABI Fleet 2801-2845 have cat engines.

the three spare BRT New Flyers 2951-2954 recived in October 2009 are powered

    by cummins ISL Series engines.

  • @805219 Wow thanks for the information. Gosh I thought those buses all had Cummins Engines...I heard the NABIs had ISMs. They sound great with the CATs.

    2951-2954...are they also hybrids?

  • did-this-got-rehowled-form-cat-to-cimminus

  • Nope. Only Seattle KC Metro have CAT powered New Flyer Hybrids

  • RTA just recived the three spare buses that were ordered as part of the option

order.the average rider will not notice the

high fleet numbers (2951,2952 and 2953)

also slight exterior cosmetics such as

large round entrance light on right front door, a small see through acess door

on the right rear and brighter front ,rear, and side marker lights.

if you are a bus watcher you'll notice

but the average rider would not be able to

    tell the difference.

  • Sweet Vid, NABINUT!!! The engine sounds AWESOME!!!
