At first i was a little discouraged about the NGP just because im not that good with touch screen stuff because my fingers are as big as sausages so when I try to press a button im pressing about 4 to 5 buttons on the screen LOL but the technology on NGP has really got me thinking :D as for the 3DS it also cought my curiosity at first since its 3D. Id say just buy what ur more confortable with so ill just wait till it gets to the stores so i can try both before i buy it. Great Video thou

Imagine playing a 1080p PS3 quality game featuring a 4 PlayStation Move controllers using the NGP's camera while the NGP is connected to your HDTV via DLNA while consuming only a fraction of electricity !!!?

The reason the has been many version is because the simply wanted to offer w simple upgraded version, not a total new portable device like they have done now. Example: PSP Slim & Lite. Then they made PSP 3000 which replaces all other PSP systems with a mic integrated and a new screen.

I was interested in the 3DS, but the NGP is superior in every way imaginable. They based the 3DS on a gimmick (3D) and a small hardware upgrade over the first DS. The NGP is a huge step up from the PSP and has every feature to satisfy core gamers (powerful hardware, dual analog, improved online and 3G, and all the franchises we love from Sony) and casuals (multitouch touchscreen and trackpad to allow iphone style apps and casual games). Unfortunately the 3DS will outsell it thanks to 3D gimmick.

Then again, I haven't played on the NGP yet, so I'd probably change my mind once I get my hands on one.

PS3 game quality games on NGP

As long as game play performance are intact including game physics I don't worry whether graphics are on par with PS3 or not.

With loads of game control options on NGP I believe game play will be no problem.

@DreadRaptor85 Not likely, I would imagine Sony would pay for the fee, using profits from the game. A similar system to what Amazon have done with the Kindle E-Reader, using profits they make from e-book sales to pay for the 3G service.

Doesn't the Kindle only read text? in that case 3G wouldn't cost Amazon much at all.

That's somewhat annoying, but I suppose it depends what the 3G connection is used for, whether its just for browsing online based content (web browser, friends games stats, etc) or somehow used to play online. If it was the first, I'd imagine the costs would be far smaller than if the latter was the case.

And the Kindle supports images and text, though is fair enough to say the data transfers would be ridiculously smaller compared to the NGP.

The maximum you can get on a 3G signal is just a smidgen over 4mb/s and that's only if you're in an area with a strong signal and not during peak times. Wi-Fi signals can broadcast much higher internet speeds than 3G. Most wireless routers support up to 54mb/s, though I have heard they're releasing (or may have already released) WiFi routers that exceed 90mb/s.

For most users 3G is comparable for the general use case, ie games, watching you-tube, browsing the internet etc.. so yeah unless your going to stream a HD movies or downloading a massive gigabyte file, 3G is comparable for most people.. Really i didn't say they were exactly the same, but they are a world ahead of the 2G which was offered before..

if you have the budget for 3G & wants to stay connected 24/7 where ever you go .... then by all means have a Wi-Fi + 3G NGP version

but many gamers like me, are on a tight budget and doesn't want a 3G Data Plan monthly fee over another monthly internet subscription at home.

Besides here in Canada there are lots of FREE Wi-Fi hot spots on most places where people hangout like malls and coffee shops. Canada is very big on consuming information on the internet.... FYI

i laugh so hard at their limited space capacity of Failbox's dvd 9! even the Nintendo Got Pwned uses memory stick flash cards which could hold up to 32 gb for now which is a little more than 3 times as much as the Fossilbox 3-fix me dvd 9 can hold!! this is like portable blu-ray alternative on the go!

Sony or Activision have an agreement, to make a Call of Duty Game for NGP. So, this is like an apology or something from Activision?

Black Ops is horrendous on PS3 (on PC Version also they screw up) and MW2 Online is hacked like never before.

But, COD on NGP, means millions of NGP's sold.
