Not say Obama is was not born in Hawaii but you can get one and furthermore as President I am sure he could get it anyway to stop the confusion. Obama is about politics and that's all this birth certificate is about.

You are the perfect example of someone who will never change their mind despite having countless facts thrown in their face. What Signorile said is absolutely true. The only reason Obama was able to release his long form birth certificate today, was that he used a FOIA (look it up if you don't understand) request. This request could have been denied but Hawaii made an exception, essentially because he is the president. All this correspondence was also released, take a look.

Clearly Obama traveled back in time and CHANGED Hawaiian law so that he'd have an excuse for lacking a birth certificate (yet didn't think to just move his pregnant mom to Hawaii for real during his time travels).

But a legal review (and a literal act of Congress) declared him to still be a natural-born citizen due to the circumstances surrounding that. (He was born at a Naval station, and his father was active U.S. military.) It's still a non-issue and McCain is still eligible to run, but the fact does remain that he was technically born outside the U.S.

My point is that the exact same people who came up with claiming that McCain wasn't born in the US are the same people that McCain hired to come up with the Obama Birther crap. Regarding Birthers: Keep in mind Obama should have presented his birth certificate to prove citizenship before being allowed to run for president. Birther does not equal conspiracy, it equals patriot. I did not listen to this video, I just noticed the comments here are not by real american citizens that understand common sense.

He explains during the 6 minutes why there isn't a birth certificate to present, why it can't be photocopied, and why Hawaii issues a certificate of live birth instead. But you want to believe what you want to believe, and no amount of facts are going to change your mind or perspective.

@jonclabough Obama HAS provided his birth certificate, and wouldn't have been considered as a candidate were he not eligible. It's a conspiracy because it's not true- There is a certificate of live birth which has been presented and is viewable. And no, birther does not equal patriot, it equals stupidity. It has been PROVEN that Obama was born in Hawaii (and his mother is a US citizen anyway).

Also, NY issues a "certified transcript of birth", not unlike the COLB from Hawaii. Just got one in Sept for my passport. Not a "long form".
