I was using a fleece liner which wicks away the pee and keeps her bum dry even when the diaper is wet. Definitely not a necessity, but nice to have once they're out of the newborn stage and they stop needing diaper changes all the time.
We are expecting our second child in October, and we are going to start her out in cloth from the beginning. We have used disposables on our 20-month-old boy from the time of birth up until just very recently, and we're now in the middle of making the transition to cloth... and I just wish we had done it so, so, so much sooner with him! Thank you for your informative video, it really helped me out in these early days!
