@nickelwindow53 I'm not hating on them, I'm a big fan of Serena. But i just can't stand people saying Venus should have won this match. She lost 6/2 6/1, so it was far from being close. Venus is brilliant player but for me, she doesn't have it anymore these days. But I agree with you that there is a big chance a Williams will win Wimbledon this year, even if Clijsters would play.

@Toompsel good point and yeah the fact the kim withdrew from wimbledon and Serena being seeded 7th in the draw and doesnt face any top ten players into the second week will gurantee she goes far in teh tournament. Now Venus is who I am worried about. 0_o What do you think happend to the girl? How does a player go from killing everyone that steps on the court to losing to everyone on the court?....what happend to her?

@nickelwindow53 I thought that the Williams sisters had a huge chance winning Wimbledon and the US Open this year 2011 esp. Serena. Well anyway hope they would play even better next year 2012. Can't wait for Kim Clijsters' come back at the Aussie Open with the Williams sisters, Sharapova, Stosur and the rest of the top 10 wta players would be very exciting to watch!

@budweiser202 good point it is good for tennis to watch, but as much as I hate to admit it Clijsters is about the only one on tour currently that can give the williams especialy serena some comp and I want to see the williams dominate for a while longer so I can wait on kim. I hope she sits out a little longer lol

@nickelwindow53 Stosur poses another challenge for the Williamses, she found a new confidence & knows how to play the big stages of a grand slam. Kim is off for the rest of the year and will make the most of 2012 which could also be her last year on tour. Honestly, with or without Kim I think the Williamses may no longer dominate like the old days. Serena 30 & Venus 31 time is running out unfortunately. Hopefully, they're all fit & healthy by 2012. That'll be great!

I'm not her #1 fan, but good on Kim for turning the tables. before her retirement she had losing H2H against all of the big 4, now she's beaten only by Serena, leading Venus 7-6 and Justine 13-11(?) That being said, let's be real here folks - This was not Venus anywhere near her best, or even her "decent." Both legs taped up, she moved like a wheelchair player sans the wheelchair. Just look at the lob at 0:50. Normally she would have retrieved it SOMEHOW. USO 2010 was fair and square though.

@vlets96 And also, grand slams ARE everything. With all the money that comes with tennis, looking past that, players tailor their schedule to prepare for slams because winning a slam is the pinnacle of tennis (along with Olympic Gold which BTW Venus has, Kim doesn't).

it's also mental. At their best, Venus is mentally tougher which is why she has Seven slams and Kim only two because Kim is still an under-achiever with all the talent she has but no consistent mental toughness to go with it.
