He is indeed a calamity. I agree with wdurrani. Subhanallah in thf blessed month of Ramadan in the house of Allah we now have our imams singing. What idiots! Read the Quran I say. And stop disturbing the people praying.
The last time I checked it was called a MASJID (meaning a place of sujood ie prayer) not a singing hall. Rubbish and we have people who support this rubbish.

? Sing outside the masjid. But for Allah's sake leave the masjid for worshiping.

@fazzamin Well! obviously no one could pray because of the disturbance of misusing the masjid for his activities. I should know because I was there for prayer and was disturbed. I agree with Kangaroo006
many narrow-minded are scared of Imam's influence over Muslim public. Imam Ghazalah is one of the very few inspiring and rightly guiding imams in Australia. May Allah strengthen His Deen through a person like him.
Why because he doenst agree with your tunnel-visioned version of islam? The real calamity is THAT islam. We all know what we are talking about :) May Allah protect us from it.
stop diluting or corrupting pureness. Come into full islam. stop giving just piece to ignorants give them full. If you dont accept something which you scared of and which your vision can't go better stay at home than paralysing community.
If you want comforts of this life, thats fine Allah will provide you Inshallah, but you'll be left with fruits of tomorrow.

Calamity? no, he is the very embodiment of a true muslim. i have had the privelege of the shaykh recite his beautiful nasheeds (with duff) at my house. the feeling you get after listening to him is 'joy'. not only for the melodies, but for being a muslim. How many people can say they give other people the joy of being a muslim? Calamity, no my misguided brother, this man is a living role model for all of us who aspire to be true ummati of Allah's Beloved (sallalahu alaihi wassalam)
