Just an observation, but you seem a bit hesitant to put the power, PASSION and feeling that Fish does in this song. I'd be curious to see how even better the song would sound if you tried an overdub with the second version. Just a thought.

@CHHSE1986 Thanks for your feedback, Ben. I thought the same thing. The problem is that "Kayleigh" is a total classic song nowadays. I knew it was gonna be difficult for me to cover the vocals because of that very fact. The sound is printed like fire in people´s heart and mind. I did my best not to ruin the song, so maybe that´s why I sounded like trying to play safe, you know? Just focusing on hitting the right notes as possible. My voice suits Rush (oddly) and Police, Sting-like songs really.

Not bad.. you guys definitely have the talent and the melodies are all accurately reproduced. However, I'll play devil's advocate and say that there is still something lacking here. Perhaps not enough power and intensity which the original had in great measure. Crank up that bass and play with your gut, not just with your heart (but more like you're trying to WRENCH at someone else's heart.. that's how Fish always played, and probably why he's so hard to imitate). But technically, an A+..

Good work guys.Though I´m missing a little bit of delay volume in the beginning of the verses and a touch more chorus for the guitar sound.anyway ,cool solo and I like the ascending line there that differs to the original a bit.Cool bass lines
