  • Love this! Its so adorablee!!-3

  • In response to all the people worried about the "jumping foal"...it is perfectly all right for a foal or young horse to jump on their own, occasionally. Most horses shouldn't be started undersaddle until they are three or four, and not jumped until four because their bones are still soft at agest younger than this. Being ridden or jumped too early can cause permanent lamenesses later in life. Some breeds mature more quickly, and can be worked earlier, some need more time due to later maturity.

  • jumping for foals is NATURAL! do you think all the wild foals have bad knees because of how they play around, jump and run? This height is not bad for a foal to jump AT ALL. To jump on this height sometimes solely strengthens the horse and its jumping abilities. Im not saying you should jump too high, or too often och make it competitive, but for games to jump like this, is NOT dangerous. You talk like horses are a weak creation of humans, but these are creations of nature, built to run & jump

  • most horses do not jump competitive until they're older because jumping is a hard trade to learn. Most dressage horses don't compete until they're ten years old or older..its not because its damaging to the horse, its because it takes a lot of training.

  • He deserves a higher jump than that :P He acted as if he was jumping a fence! Beautiful jump on his part!

  • That foal picks it self up beautifully and jumps very high

  • @hunterjumper922 actually many horses are started at this kind of thing when they are 2 and three. my mare for instance is only 3 and she is matured(bone wise) as are may MANY horses and they compete sometimes at 2 and 3 yrs of age too so it isnt exactly the age, its their physical maturity, if thir bones are matured...they can jump :) just saying. Im not saying i agree with the babys being made to jump( not saying you did @ponyzrule ) but honestly in the wild they have to jump things :)

  • Fab vid! What a cutie! As to the age a horse should start jumping.... many foals will jump higher than this whilst playing around in the field! - ours jumps like this when he crosses the stream in his paddock, so he doesn't get his feet wet :)

  • AHH :)

    Sooo sweet :P

  • my foal jumps over everything

  • How cute!!! the arguments are pointless what's don't is done. +++ let the fail have some fun!!! Plus I think mummy knows best for what it's foal can do :)

  • Tbh, essentially, everyone is right in saying it shouldnt jump, but foals naturally jump and run around, they frolick and jump around while playing, so i suppose i cant be that bad just once or twice. :/ A foal jumping like that wont kill it. Jeez, foals are made to run and jump away from predators - Hence why their leags are 90% grown when theyre born. Everyone stop having a rant about it. :/

  • Love how the foal jumped so high for the jump

  • Some people just think that if a foal hits it's leg it'll snap in half. Foals are one of the sturdiest babies going.

  • ok for christ sake, foals jump around, leap, fall on their knees in the paddock all day long. "omg your brake its legs" "omg you shouldnt do that" once you have experience raising foals and you no alot about anatomy then i suguest you shut up, these people wouldnt let their foal do anything if they knew it woudl be harmfull as they want they foal to be healthy, i just think some people need to pull their head out of their own asshole

  • im pretty sure if the mare thought her foal was in any danger she would protect it and if she though her foal wouldnt be ok jumping that why would she let it come on people horses arent stupid they're not brain dead and its not her video so what is telling her that it isnt good for foals going to do?

  • horses should be jumping till they r 5..

  • @hunterjumper922 to be honest i don't care as this is not my horse. They can jump before they're 5? I know people who compete their horses when they're 4, and so have I.

  • @ponyzrule im with you there, if it really kauses that much damage then why are so many olympic riders and high up trainers jumping 4 year olds in seriers competition, hunterjumper doesnt no what the fuck shes on aabout ae!

  • @ponyzrule They CAN, but if you want to train your horse properly with much less chance of having bad knees, you shouldnt jump until @ the very least, 4.

  • @CHEVYedsf idgaf, it's not my horse.

  • @ponyzrule Right. You said that already. But you mentioned that you've competed at 4.

  • @hunterjumper922 no they can learn at a few months so long as they enjoy it and arent pushed to hard too early.....in the wild they may even need to learn earlier!

my foals all start on trotting poles when they are 3 weeks old!!(i breed hanoverians and arabian horses)

  • @hunterjumper922 at my barn theres a 4 year old pony who jumps like 2.3"/2.6"

  • @hunterjumper922 well... actually one of my teachers in pony club said she knows a guy that would teach his foals to jump by setting up a jump in the pasture so when he would call the moms and babies in they would all have to jump it! so then, when they are older they don't think jumping is such a big deal!

  • @hunterjumper922 think, in the wild, they jump the day after there born, :) and I have a horse that three and we jump him all the time, that was two years ago, now, were training him for the olympics,

  • Aww ;)

I love how in the beginning they're like in sync xD

  • Guyyss, just to clear things up;

    THIS IS NOT MMY HORSE

SO THEREFORE I DID NOT MAKE IT JUMP

    I JUST UPLOADED THE VIDEO.

    Ta.

  • foals are not supposed to jump at that age!

  • @Lilmissspip foals jump leap and bound around in the paddock themselves this is no different, once you have experience in raising foals then come back and tell everyone that you no everything

  • @horse4051 yes, you're right. but jumping over something seemes a bit different to me, and some others too.

    but don't get angry!

  • People keep saying the foal could hurt its feet but i isnt her video so how will it help telling her?? :£

  • Aww I love how the foal kicks its legs back in the air ;)

  • Like it though u cud break its legs there still developing. cud at least put overreach boots on. Though still cute.

  • aww soo cute :) reminds me of my aunt's mini horse...he loves to jump....

  • awwwhhh soo soo cute!!!! <33

  • haha overjump thts adorable

  • aww so cute xx

  • soo cute!

  • awh that is the definition of cute!

  • LOL omg how adorable! clears the jump about 6 times over haha!

  • wow thats going to be one GREAT foal!

  • sooooooooooo cute. the foal jumps like WAY higher than the jump

  • woah she jumped higher then she needed to shes really talented :D

  • haha I love the flying lead changes...I have watched this video many times before but didn't notice her changes!!! too cute<3

  • O my gosh reminds me of my old horse!! We got him at 5 months old. And we brought him home and let him run around for abit then stalled all my horses including him. In a 8x12 stall he jumped a 4ft5in stall gate!!!!

  • This is so cute! I love seeing foals jump! Even though its too weak to jump.. the foal seems okay though! :) Love the video! :)

  • so cute!! he looks adorable!! :)

  • That is sooo freakin' cute <3 I wish that foal was mine :3

  • Wow, gonna be a great jumper....in my opinion this jumping is only natural, because he the wild they'd be going over natural obstacles;) As long as the foal is not forced and it's not over done it fine to me;) Cute Foal!

  • Wow. To będzie kiedyś naprawdę świetny skoczek. Widać jak wysoko skacze

  • mare:good jump,dear!

    foal:i wanna be like you,mum!

    AWWWWWWWW SO CUTE!

  • She is gonna grow up to be a great horse.(:

  • Awwwww!! Hes so cute!! I guess he thought the jump was higher than it was in real life!!

  • this is how my friend's mom trained her foal to jump and now i am riding him and he is AMAZING!!!

  • Dude, the little guy does like 3 flyin lead changes before the jump in the third clip :D

  • tro lol le poulain

  • People a few jumps arent gonna hurt the colt..its big enough around that age they jump around all the time by themselves anyways...gah i hav quarter horses and when one a has a colt at that age they are jumping and bucking round anyways...they arent making the colt jump anyways its choosing 2..if it was hurting it it would go around the jump 2 follow its mom instead of over it...use ur heads for something besides a hatrack people gah!

  • i agree with flipflopcrazy

  • if it wasnt going to damage the foal, there shud be a puissance competition for foals!! haha that cutee wud win!!

  • hahaha i love the lead changes b4 the jump

  • awwww

  • DANG THAT FOAL TOOK AFTER HIS MOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • jumping a young foal on occasion its okay but you don't want to do it often! they're legs are still developing and you can damage them!

  • trop mimi

  • lol big jump from the foal

  • ahw what a good mom, certainly will make jumping the little foal easier lol!

  • you cant really stop a foal from jumping it really does it naturally but you shoudnt force a foal to jumping something that puts too much strain on them

  • yes yes very cute, but i have to be a bit of an antagonist here.

a foals muscles and bones aren't fully formed at that age, not by a long run, and jumping can really hurt their them, it stresses their under developed muscles and bones, it's not a good thing if done regularly

  • Thats really cute but his knees arent closed yet so thats probably not the best thing for him :/

  • of course foals jump and play in the pasture, but they should NEVER be made to jump.. it can really ruin their joints and bones. They're still developing, you don't want to ruin them before they're even started.

  • @lnix99 finally! thank you for posting this! No one seems to realize this!

    IT HURTS THE FOAL PEOPLE!

  • @marcieincooke An occasional jump, especially one this low, only builds his muscles and doesn't stress them or his bones out. Obviously it shouldn't be done often, but I think this one time on a low jump couldn't hurt. He seems to love it, anyways.

  • he will be a really good jumper! hehe i want him or her!

  • for a foal he gets great height on that jump.

  • aw!!!!!!

  • he's like do what mama did do what mama did so cute

  • can you please move the anotion where you have the righting so we can see the horses legs ?

  • haha well its going to pick up well bless it :P xx

  • That foals stride matched his mothers pefectly, and he formed the most gorgeous bascule over the fence xD

  • aww that is so cute they're two peas in a pod, the mother has her own mini-me lol.

  • Hahahahahaha how cute!!! The foal does not really know if she/he is gonna miss the jump so he jumps higher then he needs too!!! LOL!!

  • awhh Cutee! haha its funny that horses that dont do lead changes do them with out noing!! If u watch a horse gallope around a Ring before the corner they always Switch haha Funny

  • super cute...foal jumps it so long!!!!!! hehehe foal is so cute!!!!<3

  • It is so cute how the horse is jumping so much higher than the jump really is!

  • aww, the foal kinda bucks when he goes over the jump the second time.... too cute!!!! <3

  • BORN TO FLY!

  • Wow! =D

  • das ist verboten!!

  • wow that foal jumped big!

  • The cutest lil video ever!

  • soooo cute

  • one of the horses at my stables went dwn today wen i was takin of my boots all i heard was "tobys down!!! TOBYS DOWN" and then my riding teacher runnin out wit a phone and her hat fallin of cause she was a bout to get on a horse

  • aww x i hope the horse and rider was okay =[

  • there was n rider on him thank goodness he fell and iss now fine cause he was on a hack 2day

  • the jump isnt big but the foal jumps it big but he/she is an AMAZING jumper like the way it moves

  • that is on future jumper!

  • over jumping there

  • sooo cuteeee

  • future showjumping horse

  • aww the foal is soo cute and i loved how he overjumped the jump by a yard

  • You get that video off of prostallions. I have it in some of my videos

  • the jump only looks big because the foal over jumps it. i have 2 stallions and one overjums everything and one of his foals dose the same. she likes to jump over a 2ft 6 fallen tree in the field and she is only 5weeks old. when she was born the mare paniced and kicked her and she had problems with her legs and the vet advised me to loose jump her to improve the flexability in her leg. SO, no, this isnt bad for the foal!

  • lol that is the cutest foal ever, he could go way higher, check out his tuck!!! lol xxx

  • what a cute jumper xD

  • Haha! I love how she jumps 3 feet higher than the actual jump! :P

  • Aw, he/she jumps like a deer!!! Going to be a great jumper, but I don't care how high the jump is foals really shouldn't jump until they're legs are done forming... it can lead to serious problems (: I guess one or two is okay... because naturally they do jump because they are foals... duh!

  • fair comment :) they jump buck and rear anyway!!

  • @flipflopcrazy count with 20 thumbs up, i clicked on the wrong one, sorry

  • Hehe , That was adorable . The jump was TINY dont worry :)

  • Thank you :)

  • Poor foal.

The big jump is not good for the legs!

Mini jumps is allright! But that is too much,

    stupid!

  • OMG IT ISN'T EVEN HIGH!

  • Yes, it is.

  • No it is not it is just that the foal jumps it big

  • It's big, yes!

.. Yeah, the foal jumps high, and it's not good for the legs! I'm just trying to help the foal!

Because you got no brain sins you can't see it!

  • ooooh yeah my mistake course u r.... why are people on here so STUPID and MEAN and always find something to crit!!!

  • Yes, YOUR mistake!

    I'm not stupid..

Just a girl who is trying to help this little foal!

  • Look in a dictonary and look up the word sarcasim...

If u want 2 help go fall into an endless pit

  • @Triinusmus The Foal Doesn't need help!!! The foal doesn't have to jump! I think you just don't have confidence in young horses ability and strength!

  • The "poor foal" wouldn't jump it if he didn't want to! He could've just gone around it!

  • Yes, he could! But did't becuase his mom did it!

  • WOW. you can tell that that foal is going to grow up to be a GREAT jumper.

i mean, he jumped higher than the log was placed!

  • lol i love the way the mom jumps..her legs just kick out!!

  • he has sooooo much potential, the way he jumps so big and tucks his knees and has a kick out! LOVE YOU ACTION BREAKER

  • to cute!

  • :( poor thing

  • ... He didn't have to follow his mum. Also, that foal is now a top german jumper!

  • he tucks his knees. he'll be such a cute jumper once he's trained :]
