I love the structure of this building! CCTV building is the exact opposite of a good earthquake proof design! when I think of the 1976 earthquake in Tangsheng, near Beijing, that killed 360,000 people! Therefore earthquake killing a lot of people is not an imaginery thing here! I do not understand why the stupid government officials approved the asymetrical CCTV building at more than 40 stories tall?!What are they trying to prove? that the chinese is not afraid of earthquake?!--dancewu(dot)net

Just because a building is cantilevered doesn't mean it will fall down more easily than a standard skyscraper.
