There are several pures, so I'll tell you the main ones so your not confused 1 Def pure(Obviously 1 def), Initiate/Vesta Pure(20 Def, Rune pure(45 def), Zerker(45 def), Barrows pure(70 def). So yes, both those accounts are still pure. The 1 def and the 20 def.

there are no defense requirements for any of the gloves, the quests required to do the recipe for disaster quests and some of the recipe from disaster quests give defense xp
