@BaconBrizby Heat is not necessary in summer or winter, room temperature is absoloutly fine, And you want to keep it as dry as possible (except for a water bowl) so as to reduce the chances of mold breaking out. And don't worry there has been worse comments posted haha :D
@carlismycoolcat I think your a little mistaken I don't breed these for food and I've still got the two adults in this video along with alot of their offspring and I only feed them fruit and veg and I use water gel for the water supply and I don't know if you've checked the date on it but it was almost 2 years ago! I do feed dry dog food to my B. Dubia's but I won't feed dog food to my pet cockroaches as It would not be available to them in the wild, thanks for commenting! :D
@mikaboom123 Hi many larger insectivorous reptiles will eat them for example bearded dragons, larger chameleons and monitor lizards I keep all of these animals I'm not currently breeding them though I'm breeding dubia roaches as there a much easy species to breed, but cockroaches are alot better for your animals then crickets as they have natural vitamins and there's alot more meat to shell ratio. but i mainly keep Madagascans as pets because I think they have nice colours and make great pets!
oh right i see, i am thinking of getting some do i just do what you done in their set up or can i make it more natural, also do they not climb out of the tank?
well some people with large colonies keep them in bins and use vasilene around the top so they cant climb out mine are just pets but im thinking of starting up a lobster roach colony as there more nutruishes and they breed like flies lol
this is good as a bare minimum
but you can make it more realistic with coir, wood etc
