The jet engine was invented by Henri Coanda, a Romanian, some 10 years before. It was an inefficient concept using pistons as opposed to a turbo fan but it nevertheless flew and therefore was THE FIRST JET ENGINE. Whittle developed the turbo fan NOT the jet engine. He merely improved a pre existing invention. This video is a lie.

@SIRGALAHADful The British Gloster Meteor entered service with the RAF 10 days before the ME262 entered service with the Luftwaffe.
