  • you must be very proud of your self for never giving up on Casper. Casper is a gorgeous horse and deserves all what you have given him. There is not a lot of people that would not keep going and training a horse like this but your one of the people that didn't give up and succeded!!!!

  • your horse is amazing... im glad you never gave hope... you have inspired me because i have a horse just like yours and he makes me so angry sometimes.. but i love him and my family says i should get rid of him for a better horse but i just cant... i love him... i love you Dynawhiz

  • almost began to tear up. an amazing sucess story.

  • That's amazing

  • its amazing how you have stuck with him and made him a fantastic horse!!you two will go really far!!most people would just give up on a horse like that and get another one but you stuck with him and made him brilliant!! btw your amazing at riding!!:) x

  • Wow.. thats an inspiration!

  • You have done such a good job :) xxx

  • Never give up is the way forward;) Greatt videoxx

  • Oh my gosh, this is beautiful!

  • That horse needs a little training to me. One year?Ever considered breaking him in as a faul?

  • he seems like a rocky mtn horse.

  • 5:31 beautiful lead change.

  • trust... it's all about trust. the horse needs to trust you first before you can work togehter.

  • This video actually gave me goosebumps... your AMAZING!!!!

  • I tell you, Your amazing. But then the 2 fall they had they would have sold him already. But something told you to keep him. And look how it turned out.(: You have a bond. Don't break it.(:

  • beautiful video with so much emotion! you are an amazing rider to get back on after all those falls and scary moments! <3

  • thanks for sharing this with us...! I think stories like this are what keeps us doing what we love.

  • Grt Vid and grt job, girl. I think we can all learned something from the "Difficult" horses in our lives :D

  • did you kick his ass after he bucks and rears or did you spoil him and pet him because if you spoil him he learns its ok to buck and rear. the horse is not dangerous your just making him dangerous by not disciplining him but you are then you are doing a very crapy job of it!!!!!!

  • @646horselover uh... did you see how much he changed? I don't think she was doing a "crappy job of it". You never beat an animal either, calm correction for bad behaviour, and praise when he does something right, thats the way she did it and he turned out fabulous. Ya, room for improvement, but probs better than beating him

  • Oh my goodness, well done darl, he is absolutely gorgeous

  • true love isn't found right away, yet not everybody belives that. and you just proved that in 8 minutes. <3

  • i alway believed tht a horse like this makes you a better rider and a better horseman. My horse was so much like yours everyone told me the same thing and i was only a 11 at tht time. i could not lead my horse to his field i got bucked off pretty much everytime i rode, but i learned something from my horse never give up. Because now he is such a amazing horse b/c i never gave up like you! We came champion at our first dressage show we learned to jump 4'6. and we both learned to have faith.

  • Amazing video! Your a truly amazing rider! You and Casper are doing great!

    :)

  • Amazing what time off his back did- You bonded- He learnt to trust you. Most important thing of all- is time spent with your horse. Not riding- just spending time. Good on you both. Gave me goosebumps.

  • Wow, fair play!! Never give up on them :) <3

  • Wow... <3 Just wow. Completely different horse, amazing. Congrats :') <3 x

  • AMAZING and incredible is the only word to say, I wanted to tutch the horse, I wish that I could be such a good rider! But i'll guess it wasn't easy, i could see that it was hard for you, hard for him. I just wanted to freez the moment, you are so amazing, keep on the good work!!<3 (sorry bad english)

  • Wow!! Your an AMAZING rider with an AMAZING horse :) And most of those 'mistakes' that your horse did... WELL SAT :D

  • well done i take my hat off to you !!

  • this made me cry...

  • at least he got better(: hes beautiful!!!

  • Wauw!!

    Amazing!

    Good luck with eatchater

  • Horses with Issues under saddle or wherever..are merely misunderstood, they just need someone with Patience and understanding to Train them.

  • Well Done! You're such an inspiration, this video made me cry, you're an amazing rider.

  • What exactly is inhand showing? Is it the same thing as showmanship?

  • @astrumxflight it's showing with the halter and lead, they don't ride the Horse..just display it under Halter, and yes..it's the same idea.

  • CONGATULATIONS!! Yoou are an inspiration. It's the challenging horses that teach us the most <3

  • made me cry, i've had my horse for two years now and we're still going through the same. everyone is like 'i would have sold him on and found something better'. but that's when you end up with horses that are passed from home to home! why give up when you know that it just takes patience! all the best for the rest of your time with him!

  • who ever disliked this has no heart !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • beautiful horse! Wauw it´s amazing what you did! I think that it was ment to be that he had pain in his leg. Now you are such a great team!

  • i love this video!

  • my 1st horses previous owner abused him & he didnt trust anyone You couldnt even go past his stall without him rearing and kicking i was only a kid & i was terrified of him Everyone told me to give up But they never gave him a chance He may have appeared scary & 'dangerous' but when i got him in the ring he really took care of me I've never created such a strong bond with any animal or human & giving him away was my hardest decision but im glad he's being taken care of & he's in a good home

  • true horsepeople keep trying, true horsepeople doesn't fear any horse, true horsepeople truly understands horses.

    trust+respect=true friends

i'm so glad and impressed that u held on when nobody else would, this beautyfull horse would probably have been slaughtered if u didn't hold on. respect for u ;)

  • All I can say is. WOW. Welldone! You're one insperational person. I will never give up on my ponies, even if they are trouble. welldone! you're an amazing rider:D This is just... WOW. xx

  • Congratulations.... i love this story ... if more people gave horses a chance... i would be out off a job lol but its amazing to see someone believe in there horse... many horses have problwms we just have to care enough to help them .... love this video.. xx

  • Youre an amazing rider!!!

  • Hahaaa! -.-

  • i just have to let you know...this is my favorite video on utube. The best 8 mins of my life, wiv these few video clips u made me cry n sent shivers down my spine. I think the most inspirational stories come from tat of a sport. u gave me hope in my young mare, trust in my self, and belief tat we can do it. Sometimes the most difficult horses are the most rewarding. I thank u with al my heart fr changing my outlook on how when n what i ride. u hv givn me hope in wat i love n long to do...RIDE!<3

  • A good rider is someone who can ride over fences well, has a good position, and knows how to get the best out of a horse. Being a great rider isn’t all about position and doing well in competitions. A great rider is someone who has the guts to stick with a horse. no matter what anyone says, and then prove everyone wrong. You are a great rider!

It is why I love this sport.

  • truely amazing! well done!<3

  • Brill video, made me cry!

  • It's very good video! ;)

  • I wanted to like it everytime I watch it but I can only press the lke button once.. :(

  • You are an amazing rider, and I respect you so much that you didn't give up! I wish you all the best, you deserve it! Great job.

  • Awww He Was SO NAUGHTY!!

  • Wow, you did an amazing job. And now you have a buddy for such a long time :D. The horse in an amazing jumper, he's awesome!

  • do u knw why he acted like that

  • :)

  • amazing video:) so lovely to see it all come right in the end. you should be so proud of yourself for sticking with him and reaping the rewards even when everybody was saying those things. just goes tos how a lil hard work and the right attiude and you can achieve anything:)

  • you are right... i dont know about the situation... sorry!!

  • Your horse is beautiful! He seems as though he is a very honest horse, and wants to please you.

Even my 1/4 of a million dollar horse acts up. Have you ever tried (after he acts up, and then calmed down) giving him a mint? That's what we do with my horse and he instantly calms down.

Your story is very inspirational! Don't ever let words discourage you because sticks and stones may break bones, but words will never hurt.

Keep it up! Your horse is beautiful (and a beautiful mover)!

  • sounds EXCATLY the same as me:O my new horse is 4 years old. Everyone says i should get an older one but nopee:D i want him x

  • доебла всётаки лошадку ссучка крашеная

  • What you've done with this horse is incredible. It's people like you who inspire me <3

  • INCREDIBLE transformation. that horse was LITERALLY transformed. i think i've seen and commented on this before but i don't care haha i love seeing people PERSEVERE with the horse THEY HAVE instead of giving up so easily and selling. you are an incredible horsewoman/rider i would have bit the dirt thousands more than you did! haha and you had so much patience with him too. it's amazing to see the transformation from the first half of the vid to the second... i don't even know you but

  • @ilymanda43 i'm so happy for you and glad to see there are more riders like this!

  • You are a patient, steady and balanced rider and this is the FIRST horse video, RL horse video that has ever made me smile and I am very prejudice against people with horses due to my experience with them. But I am genuinely pleased for you and Casper (even though I know you won't reply). Well done.

  • Wow amazing! *_*

  • People only say that because they aren't strong enough to push the horse through its problems. They don't have the guts to overcome its bad habits and see the good side of the horse. They are just trying to find the easy way out and turn a blind eye on what happens to the horse. Good job with sticking it through ;)

  • Way to stick it out! He's an OTTB?

  • omg this is actualy amazing! cannot blieve how far you have come in only 1 year?!?!?!?! i really admire you to have kept going and ended up that good! i liked a subbed! :) xx

  • your Horse is a little bit DANGEROUS

  • @linibieni97 No, just young and in a new place and going through a new point in his life.

    No horse is truly safe.

  • This is amazing, you did a great job controlling him! Most people I know would have sold him at first, but you stayed with him this whole time!

  • your story with Casper is the same as mine with my horse! its so satisfying when you have worked through all your problems isnt it?! Well done by the way, he is such a lovely horse x

  • omg this is amazing! u really know to never give up, this just inspired me! btw what was the first song in this video called?

  • this is one of the most incredible videos i have seen in a while. It is so beautiful that you did not give up n him and that together, you grew and changed so much. I can only imagine the strength, courage, and determination it took you to work through everything. I think more people need to have the strength to do what you have done with your horse. truly awe-inspring. thank you for sharing your incredible story.

  • Great job! Rly, well done!

  • amazing video, and your an amazing rider!

  • Very well done! Says a horsewhisper!

  • You're such a great rider, keep on training him, no matter what all the jealous people say!

  • How can people dislike this vid!!! *Angry face* I watch it at least twice a day ( if not more) and everytime before I ride....

  • Amazing. It's nice to see a rider stick with a horse who is ACTUALLY tough. The difference in both horse and rider is inspirational. I love the way she quietly encourages him when he's trying, and softly corrects him when he does something wrong. Beautiful horse. Clearly not an easy fix and a beautiful pair!

  • incredible. its the only word I can find that remotely discribes the change you two worked for. in the first part of the vid you can see he is distrustfull and insecure, and in the seccond part he sometimes looks inscure, but clearly learned to trust you. so instead of trying to kick you off, he lets you guild him through it. very well done for the both of you!

  • LUCKY

for some reason we never catch it on film when my horse does crazy stuff

    that horse is beautiful

never listen to people like that horses were born that way

its become way to commen to have a horse that does not act uppon its natural instincts this is a true horse

my horse ripped open his joint in a trailer accedeint and i agree it was the best thing that could have happened to us i have a video about him and am going to make a better one later

  • oj oj i couldnt havent done a better jod myself

  • i hope you have the same trust in him now that ever before! one girl and her beautiful horse battle together

  • you done a really bad job of handlying him

  • Wow, for a change!! Very good job! :)

  • Wow, only two words to describe this: Good. Job.

  • omg how much of a chanaged horse you 2 were made for each other, well done its hard to stick with a horse your scared of i know i gave up, but well done for sticking with him hes making you a very nice horse with one hell of a jump :) xx

  • In life we al have our challeneges. Clearly, Casper was one of yours. And you did beautifully. He went from a horse people were afraid of and were afraid to trust into a horse who you trusted, and in response trusted you to protect him from those big scary fences he had to go over! It also shows that ground manners are quite important-six weeks turned him from a horse you were afraid of to one you trusted. Last thing; I love how you wear a helmet in saddle and no helmet bareback. No offense xD

  • gosh it makes me so sad to see that it takes a horse to chip a bone before you think to yourself: Hmm, well if i have nothing better to do, maybe I should bond with my horse. I cannot believe that there are so many people out there that just want to ride and want their horse to listen without listening to the horse first. No hate intended, in the end I think you did a great job, I just wish people like you would realise it earlier.

  • I totally understand how great can be the satisfaction of "recreating" a horse when everyone doubts in you and horse - I had the same, when I bought my Chance from the slaughterhouse.

I'm 5 year with her now and I know, that she was the best choice for me.

Our history is similar to yours, and all those words and comments you've written on the beginning I heard too.

Now all those people are observing with their mouths wide open me and Chance on competition -noone ever gave us such possibility.

  • What a fantastic rider and lovely video ! brought a tear to my eye ! WELL DONE !

  • just letting you know, this is probably one of the most inspiraitonal things i have ever seen

  • Brought a tear to my eye this - You earned his trust. You wasn't someone who lost faith in him....

  • every single time something doesn't quite go to plan with my horses, weather that be them bolting, rearing, bucking etc I think of this video! It is utterly amazing and you give the strength to keep on going.

  • This proves you are an amazing rider. When your horse was messing about you know fully well what you needed to and you fixed it. I have experienced this myself with a new horse who was extremely naughty however i overcame this through a slow and gradual program starting from rock bottom. and now i am jumping at Hickstead in a 1:30 course! you have clearly achived something amazing and you should be proud of yourself. x

  • This is just what I needed to see tonight! Wonderful video and story. :)

  • WOW! :D you horse is beautiful! :D

  • also its quite possible he was acting up because of his leg may have been weak? his way of protecting you maybe, my horse was like this too but im really proud of you :) x

  • good girl for sticking all that out well done you make horse riders proud :) xxx

  • what an amazing rider you are you have such amazing balance it just shows what patiences and good will can do :)

  • He's like Spirit ... XD

  • You are an amazing horse person and rider. If you ever a looking for a riding opportunity, please let me know!

  • amazing progress ! :D

  • this is so amazing! you are an amazing rider and it takes a lot of strenght and courage to keep believing in your horse, but you see, if you keep trying and believing, it's all going to be alright ;)

  • aw this made me cryy;'(

  • Looks more that the horse have pain :/ Did the saddle fits?

  • @meety95 she wouldnt ride him if the saddle didnt fit!

  • Amazing, it is obvious you could see the potential in him when no one else could :)

  • You have a lovely horse there. Good on you for toughing it out with him. Definitely a handful but patience and determination will take you a long way with him. Hes got potential.

Keep it up, he's a lovely horse.

  • awesome video! so heartwarming

  • id love this horse i love a horse with spirit, attitude and a problem that just need some time and care to sort out, gives you something to work on. good rider and trainer. nice to see

  • Hard work always pays of ^^

  • fantastic you deserve everything you seek xxx

  • so much respect

  • Inspiring :)

  • where is he now

  • what is the song at the end ?

  • I bet you could clear an arena at the start. That spinning an bolting is just going to be his thing. I wonder what happened to him in the past to make him like that.

  • You done an awsome job with that big horse!!! Well done! Think your slightly mad tho! lol And so is who ever was holding the camera!! Them hooves got a little close at times!!!

  • i don't think i've ever felt soo proud of a stranger in my life

  • well done!

  • You said that after spending time on the ground with him, that you trusted him, I think it was he that trusted you after your time on the ground. Groundwork is so vital in our relationship with our horses, always go back to the groundwork if you are having trouble in the saddle, other wise you will keep ending up "on the ground". Bravo! for your patience!

  • love<3

    diep respect

  • Nagyon ügyesek vagytok!!!:)*.* (Songs?)

  • he is so pretty, its cool that he turned around like that

  • to have respect on a horse. you must first earn their respect on the ground.

  • This is amazing, Because People give up too easy on there horses and you didnt:)

  • soooooo helpful! I have a lot of very similar problems with my horse, and am not very confident anymore, and i get so wound up and stressed! just seeing that you can get through it has helped me so much and i am trying to be in charge on the ground so that (hopefully!) he'll be a nice horse to ride! :) xx

  • This nearly made me cry. and i dont cry!!!!!Well done you've done amazingly

  • Well done, that's what you call determination, :-)

  • I am impressed and happy you didn't give up like most people do. All it took was time and determination. I cried, loved it. As a horse trainer, im happy to see some one succeed like you

  • Wow, what a story... Amazing piece of work with that horse. Can you write more, share your experiences?

  • wow great!!! i'm happy you didn't give up!!

this shows that if you trust you can do anything!

  • Respect! Amazing! Compliments!

  • u are an amaizing rider its very clear to me that u have been working hard with him i could never have done what u do with him u guys are an awesome pair and casper is a beautiful green horse and keep working with him no matter what anyone says. and 25 people obviously cant ride and train a horse because they have no reason to dislike your video ur a great rider keep going -oliviarox2608

  • He's beautiful!!:)you've done amazing with him!

  • looks like casper has his own opinion about what he does and doesnt want to do lol gotta love horses and honestly it takes a real horse person to be able to keep a horse like him and work through his lil temper tantrums!! soo u r a real horse person and a great one dnt let neone tell u any different!! :)

  • That's amazing! your incredible!

  • Comment removed

  • i cryed at this! to see how much u have persisted to get him to where he is today is truely inspirational :')

  • fab story and fab vid awesome to see how far you guys have come. Plus respect to you cause bloody hell he was a handful lol same thing happened with my horse he was a nightmare 10yrs on he's still my best friend and we trust each other completely :)

  • Want to know something?

You kept Casper and bought him for the reason that you knew he was the one! He was the one who you not only wanted but fell in love with! Yeah may not be perfect at first but look at him now :) He is amazing and thats because you loved him :) <# <3 <3 Truly from the heart :D <3

  • I love that you never gve up on him. You see so many people with "perfect horses" that may as well be robots. It is this kind of hard work that creates great memories and a great bond.

  • You are great!!! I have deep respect for you.. my compliments!

  • You're a beautiful rider girl! Crazy to have stayed on for all of that crap in an English saddle, ha ha! Congrats on Casper, he's turned into a lovely horse.

  • Love your story! He is lucky to have you!

  • this is a incredible story! im in love with its all ...

  • Awww... I don't even know you but I'm proud of you and your horse. :)

  • you. didn't. capitalize. your. 'I's.

  • @theridergirl97 i dont think this really matters on this video ._.

  • Congratulations.

    This is a beautiful video!

    <3

  • Theres one horse at the ranch where I volenteer and he was given to us by a woman who was planning to send him off for dog food just because she 'coluldn't ride alone with him' and he was 'FAR to nevous.' The ranch stopped her and now we keep him here. Now I've been told that when I do guide rides(showing people the trail and making sure they don't get lost)I'm to ride him.At first I thought I was going to die but when I rode him, he was great. He adveraged 4 tiny spooks in 2hours.Nothing really.

  • What an incredible story!!! Your such an amazing rider! Guess thats what you get for not giving up!!!!! :) What a beautiful horse

  • when I was 14 I bought a 4year old mare. Her owner was scared of her, and she did spent more time on her hind legs than anything else. I was the only one who dared to ride her. But I fell in love with that horse. Now she's 9 year's old, and shows Prix Saint Georges at the national circuit and schooling the grand prix exercises, and she's the best thing that ever happend to me. Shows that everything is possible if you don't give up, and I'm glad you didn't to! :)

  • This is truly heartwarming. You have a seat like GLUE. I tip my hat to you two.
