  • Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson is just awesome! He makes the most intricate science facts make so much sense, and he is so passionate about what he talks about that it just draws your attention and make you listen. he is just...AWESOME... no other other to describe him.

  • Mars farts. That will be the evidence-based science we need in the future to predict life on any given rocky body. Mars farts. Get used to it.

  • don't you love it, "the universe called to me" instead of god called to me.

  • we distrust scientists, yet we trust Faux News religious leaders and politicians, something scary about that equation. Let's hope it becomes less true as we become more educated and evolve out of superstitious instincts

  • Did NDT get pi wrong? 23:48

  • These two guys go together better than peanut butter and jelly! Wow, that was corny...

  • Judging by the like/dislike bar, James Cameron must have seen this video...

  • Did that guy in the beginning really call Romeo & Juliet "American" Literature...?

  • Words that make questions, may not be questions at all...

  • Fucking awesome!!!!!!

  • Truehuman11 is simply another believer afraid to think...

  • @Truehuman11 Actually it's a model to explain the diversity of life on earth.

  • @TheScienceFoundation not to mention we're not stupid enough to worship anything. Evolution is, unlike christianity, not based on faith and worship but facts, tested against again and again.

  • @Truehuman11 Brother...you must be joking around.

  • @Truehuman11 warshiping science? that's just BULLSHIP

  • wow your insanely dumb, if we die it will be because there are too many of you

  • @Truehuman11 You appear to have paid as much attention during English as you did during Science. Stick to playing the banjo.

  • You have to love a scientist who wears cowboy boots.

  • This was fantastic. I'm always impressed with Tyson but I was equally impressed with Colbert as moderator. I thought he kept the conversation moving and added humour but never to the point where it trivialized the discussion. If he had played his character it wouldn't have been appropriate. Great stuff! Thanks for posting!

  • Great video but they could have spruced up the set a bit. I mean, wooden chairs on a sloping stage? Yikes!

  • This is awesome!

  • Tyson needs to be a household name.

  • I have never seen a video on YouTube collect so many likes before receiving a single dislike. There is hope after all.

  • tyvm for posting this! =D I have never heard of Neil Tyson before watching this video, but I will definitely keep my eye out now. cheers!

  • @Ttiatus Niel Tyson is an amazing man and scientist. :)

  • NO WAI OMG SO F*KKIN AWESOME THX FOR UPLOADING!!!

  • This was great. thanks for posting!

  • Skip to 6:30 if you wanna skip the intro.

  • awesome!

  • (0:24:37) "Which means we are part of this universe. As I've said many times... not only are we are in the universe, the universe is in us." That is definitely a profound concept.

  • I don't think it would be possible to watch this entire video and hold on to anti-science dogma.

  • great video. i love tyson!

  • Two brilliant men. This was very interesting and easy to follow.

  • tyson and colbert, together, in 1 video......

    there must be a god

  • 6:05 Colbert and Tyson intro over thumb up for time saving.

  • Great interview! It's >1h but I think it's worth to try to write spanish captions to this. I'll start tonight

  • waitta minute, that's not stephen colbert... the real stephen colbert would expose tyson has a heathen un-Christian fearmongering propaganda guru....

  • @richie8811 I think you're confusing Stephen Colbert with Bill O'Reilly. XD

  • 6:04 <--- For the ones that just want to just to the start of the interview

  • Oh man this was brilliant

  • Colbert rocks. He's a well read guy too.

  • one of my favorite comedians and my favorite scientist. how can this day get any better?

  • @defect530 You need some better role models.

  • @45means45 they are not my role models. i like them both a lot though. i live how i wish, i don't need role models.

  • @45means45 Why is it weird to have 2 very succesful people in their fields as role models?

  • @defect530

    A blowjob while you watch.

  • As much as I enjoy Stephen Colbert, it's nice to occasionally get a glimpse of the man behind Stephen Colbert.

  • I watched the whole thing ... this one is cool, Tyson is really empowering in his words. Colbert manage to lighten things up without looking like a douche at all, still awesome guys all around ...

  • Awesomeness

  • hilarious...and I wish Tyson was my professor...I wish Colbert was our class clown

  • Love Tyson, pure brilliance and light-heartiness

  • Great interview! Wonderful couple! Colbert is a great side kick for Neil :)

  • God interviewing God... that "holy trinity" thing is starting to make some sense...

  • the dynamic duo :)

  • wish i could have been there ... its public.

  • SCIENCE RULES!!!!

  • Great video. Their interaction is hilarious!

  • Neil is amazing. He's smart as hell without being too nerdy and boring. He seems like such a pleasant guy. :D
