Not me, honestly. Depp has a huge repertoire, and I think he could bring that carelessly funny, vaguely dangerous element. I think it's a brilliant choice. He isn't just Willy Wonka or Jack Sparrow, you know.

I know hes a good actor, its just hes too famous. I know he deserves it but still I think it would be more interesting to get an unknown to do it. But the project will probably never happen. I mean if you reread the book its very much 1990s, and most of the humour is in the narration.

Time is not a restricting. There's been so many movies taking place in the past, present, future I'm sure the 1990's wouldn't be a problem. the humor maybe but that's what a good script and good acting crew is.

I agree - Johnny Depp can do SO many different parts. He would find a way to make Crowley perfect.

On the other hand, I read somewhere that Robin Williams was signed up for Aziraphale? Maybe it's just a rumor - I hope so, because as funny as Robin Williams is he just does NOT fit my picture of Aziraphale. Also, I think it would be nice if they found two British actors to play Crowley and Aziraphale. I mean, I'm not British but it still seems like they should find British people for those parts.

Agreed. Robin Williams has his roles, but this doesn't feel like one of them :/.

really? I think Robin would do well. I mean sure he has his childish immature sides but who else could you think up of who can be mature serious, but in the mean time thinking, how he could turn this around to mess it up but make it stil go into the "good" category? Johnny and Robin I see are nearly polar opposites which will make things rather entertaining.
