What a song! What a composing! Raja there is no words to praise you. And the lyrics by Pulamaipithan is excellent. We can see such a strong tamil feeling only in Bharathidasan songs. As already commented by the friends, really I had tears in my eyes when I was hearing the song.

This song tears my heart, soaks my eyes, horripilates and takes me back in time to early 80s, when this song used to be often repeated in All India Radio, Coimbatore. (Thanks to those souls, who kept playing this in those days.) What a lovely lyrical and musical treat, this song is. The language of Poet Pulamaipithan aces against the musical notes of Maestro Ilaiyaraaja and both of them ace together against Uma Ramanan and P.Susheela's mellifluous rendition.
