At 2:40 to 2:55... It's just like Super Mario Bros. 3 with auto-scrolling levels and a timer... The only difference is that unlike Bad Dudes, Super Mario Bros. 3 was much better done, had better controls and was much more fun!!! That game had a more consistent timer, too!!!

This review was pretty dead on. NES made a TON of bad games back in the day and nobody really says anything. I love how the reviewer plays the first theme from Naruto Shippuden at the end.

Really though, ninjitsu duplication had been done since ancient times. Naruto plays off this but it's not the first time it's been done.

If you compare this game by today's standards it may seem pretty stupid, but it embodies everything cool about the 80's. Think about it: Ninjas in New York, kidnapped the president, if you finish the game the president takes you out for a cheeseburger. Extremely "American" for the 80's era. I loved it in the 80's and I love it now. Bad Dudes was a good game. Not an awesome game, but at the very least funny as hell.

This happens to be one of my favorite games surprisingly enough. I rented it once as a kid and hated it, but when I played it later on I loved its cheesy plot, cool music and gameplay.

You're right about the timer though, I can't recall ever running out of time lol.

Yeah, the ninjas are easy to deal with for the most, but the game is pretty challenging overall. Red ninjas drop items like the soda can, so you probably kicked him off the truck.

Also, you might not have known this, but Karnov is in this game. He appears as the first boss and later on in the game as well, which isn't all that surprising, considering that this game is made by Data East, the same company that produced Karnov.

Oh yeah, what about the power punch? If you hold down the B button for a few seconds, the Bad Dude will start glowing and when B is released, he will unleash a devastating power punch, it reeks of awesomeness!

Glad to see you back! When I used to play this game, I also laughed at the ridiculousness of things falling below the moving truck. I love this game, though, because it has a variety of interesting minibosses, and the difficultly level is balanced. Also, don't most of us start out our adventures balancing on top of a fence?
