Arsenal are one of the quieter premier league teams. The premier league in general, except Stoke, and on ocassion Liverpool, Tottenham and the lesser clubs (Norwich, Swansea etc) generate a loud atmosphere.
Lower league football is where the true roots of the game are. Loud fans, creative chanting (the main difference between American sport to Football or Soccer). The second to fourth tier of English football have lots of clubs who are noisy, passionate fans who havent been priced out of going
I'm guessing it was Arsenal 1-1 Fulham that Reali went to. The Gunners are one of my teams in the EPL, along with Aston Villa.
Reali, you'll hear a lot of chanting and singing during MLS games as well, but they're not nearly as clever as some of the EPL chants. Arsenal, for example, has two chants I really like: "1 Man Went to Bed with Ashley" and "We Hate Tottenham."
One final prediction for this coming weekend: Aston Villa 2-0 (WTF are) Manchester United
Much of the hooliganism that marred soccer in the UK (which includes Wales and Scotland alongside England) is a thing of the past. The advent of the EPL and the money that flowed from that being invested in security and compliance with the Taylor Report has helped. Probably more than anything though is that going to the games is a lot more expensive now, and that prices a lot of would-by hooligans out of the scene entirely.

No screaming and yelling for once. So rude those people on their phones during this segment

I too was at that game Tony. The second tier is all corporate box holders, so unlikely to be all that rowdy....

Arsenal fans are quite tame when it comes to the Prem, West Ham are the main hooligans, Stoke are pretty crazy as well.

I've been told the higher you go in EPL stadiums, the more drunken behavior. Second tier wouldn't be bad especially at the Emirates.
