Ewing played with about 10 different PG's in 15 years, and he played with really bad teams early in his career.

Ewing deserves more credit than he got. Before they got Houston and LJ, Ewing did not have a consistent scorer offensively. Starks can shoot you into a game or out of a game. Harper was decent. Other than that, he did not have a superstar who was in his prime. I was pissed, though, when Ewing did not stay his ass on the bench during that Heat brawl like Buck Williams told him to. He could be selfish but wasn't a Marbury selfish. I wish we had someone like him on the Knicks now.

Ewing deserves more credit than he got??? He made the Dream Team, Was voted one of the NBA'S Top 50 Greatest Players ever and was a perennial all star. He got his team to the finals twice! Olajuwon was flat out unstoppable in '94, & Sprewell got the knicks there in '99. I feel Ewing is appropriately respected for his accomplishments, not underrated.

I lived in New York. When Ewing was there, some of the fans flooded radio airwaves with calls that the Knicks were better off without him, they should trade him and talked about him like he is a scrub.  A few of the writers also had a problem with Ewing.

Yeah, the New York fans can be fickle. Ewing's career in my book was that of a warrior. Unfortunately for him he ran up against Jordan & Pippen who nobody could beat. After that he had to go up against Dream! The dude couldn't catch a break! But like Barkley, K. Malone, Stockton, Reggie Miller, etc. he will go down as a great player without a ring.

I don't remember if it was skywriting or a plane with sign, though I think it was a sign, although that was very rare in Brooklyn.
