Ik overweeg deze cam omdat ik het inderdaad een prachtig beeld vind + punt High speed opname ook al is het in mindere kwaliteit. daardoor valt de GZ HM1 af, heeft 100 FPS meer en groter geheugen maar ook deze High speed opname is niet geweldig. over 5 jaar zal dit wel optimaal zijn. Ik ga in elk geval voor de ruim 200 euro goedkope cam met maar 32 Gb geheugen, is prima zat.
CMOS size, KONICA MINOLTA HD LENS and number of pixels of 550 and HM1 is the same. Main difference is (very) easy manual control of HM1, mic-headphone jack with control, K2 Hifi Sound and slightly better signal to noise ratio in very low light conditions of the HM1. HM1 recently received the European TIPA Award.
But when your budget does not reach the HM1 the 550 is your best choice ever! we think!
Nice footage. Image seems as clear and sharp as in GZ-HM400. Does GZ-HM550 have the same lens as GZ-HM1? What is the difference between GZ-HM1 and GZ-HM550? The features seem basicly the same, yet there is a significant difference in price. Too bad there are no tests or reviews yet, I was thinking about GZ-HM400, but since the new models' release, it has become harder to decide...
@JVCNederland I'v red news about it here in Poland, it was said that it is recording 500fps@fullHD. So, maybe they were mistaken. What would be resolution than?
Scence selection for testing the camcorder is not diverse and camera movements and zoom was carefully controlled. Must include indoor scenes and handheld shots for low light and stabilization testing. Color seem little bit warmer.
