  • was it hard to take the baffles out? and do you think you lost or gained power?

  • E46 bmw and an R6...dude youve got it made.

  • @bluedestiny the R6S is the 2003-2005 R6 with only minor adjustments from the 2005 R6. You can order most parts for 2003-2005 and will fit your bike but make sure and double check. Most sites will list out the fit.

  • i have a 08 r6s. can anyone tell me what year parts i need for it? i heard the r6s is the r6 from two previous years. is this tru?

  • Nic bike sounds nice,, im a little bias, I have the exact same bike, same color and all except i have a supertrap exhaust on it ,, sounds sick,,

    Its yamaha or nothin'

  • i love YAMAHA

    THUMBS UP FOR THIS VIDEO

  • nice beemer btw

  • It will shoot sparks right when you install it. reason is that when you cut the butterfly valve off, there is metal pieces in the muffler. they get lit up and spit out. Ive had mine on for a while now and it blows pretty big and alot of blue flames.

  • Probably a good idea to warm the bike up first. Close up to tacho shows Lo.

  • dude was it hard to install? i way interested in doing the same for my 04, let me know asap if u can

  • wow that exhaust is sticking way out there...........not good

  • lol, its almost in the exact same position as the 06+, and it doesn't even come close to touching the ground when dragging a knee... so....

  • @crisp330 Get a GP system ;) It WILL sound better.

  • @crisp330 Here is a better exhaust, just listen.

    watch?v=pB06WnsIqEY

  • how do you take out the baffle? i have an 08 r6 with stock exhaust and want to make it louder without buying an aftermarket exhaust.

  • Hey I'm not exactly sure about the '08s. I think they have a different exhaust setup. Try checking the shop manual for your bike or check an R6 forum for your year, they'd be of much better help.

  • hahaha opps ya i mean when it backfires it shoots out sparks just alittle..i guess every shorty slip on MOD would do that so i guess its not a big deal just a little worried . looks sick with the shorty exhaust ah. and the sound...i think it sounds better then my MIG high mount.

  • leave ur bike in nitro and stand beside the bike and play with the throttle and look at ur exhaust..u can see if it spits out sparks.kinda cool

  • when I hear my bike backfire its always on the road riding, after I let off the gas and RPMs are somewhat high or after I downshift and RPMs are dropping, I'll play with it next time I get a chance though and see if I can't get a video of it if it does. So I guess you didn't mean "sparks", you mean your bike is backfiring? ...I was picturing actual sparks flying out of your exhaust, lol. Search youtube for "motorcycle backfire by chancho"

  • hey does ur exhaust spit out sparks,,,i did the same Mod and my exhaust shoot out sparks...what did u mean about the no baffle?

  • Sparks? No, I couldn't imagine that shooting out sparks is a good thing. If you mean a little "flame" shoots out, I'm not exactly sure about my bike because I'm usually looking forward, but I see my friend's bikes with aftermarket exhausts shoot out a small flame when they backfire occasionally, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that, I'm sure my bike occasionally will do it as well but I haven't asked/seen.

  • ...and a baffle is basically an insert in the muffler that makes it quieter, I think all stock and most if not all aftermarket exhausts have these

  • It Has A Great Sound.I very Like The R6`s.And The BMW Is Very Nice

  • Damn sounds sweeeet bro.

  • dude i just bought an 03 r6 same bike as you...can you let me know if you had any problems installing the shorty pipe? can you teach me anything you have learned from that experience? i wanna make sure i do it right...thanks bro

  • Basically just weld it on where your headers come into one (right under the right peg), make sure you get a strong solid weld, then make a mounting bracket/hanger to hold the rear... Pause at 0:40, you see that silver slotted piece behind and slightly above the rear brake... you can see the "hanger" coming from the can's mount holding it to that, just work that out to get a nice fit, you need to curve and bend it some. Use the hanger to bolt from the can to that. Let me know if you have ?'s

  • make sure everything fits before you finalize, and make sure you left enough clearance for your rear brake, it sits nice and flush with that so don't get it too close!

  • does sound nice

  • sounds nice
