  • great videos.

  • No fucking sound. Copyright problems?

  • @Mager72 As far as we can tell - see the comment at the top. Extremely annoying. BUT you can see it here instead:

  • Vision AND SOUND version here: vimeo(dot)com/15233151

  • I hope it gets sorted out guys, I have to say your image looks the part anyway.

  • What a shame the audio was taken away. Luckily I am able to pick up the audio on my blue ray. Can't believe it is not Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music. Are you sure? You guys are amazing.

  • Apologies for no sound. Mistaken copyright interference by YouTube has resulted in the sound being removed from this video without so much as a by-your-leave. The copyright of this performance is ROXY MAGIC's and performance rights payments were made to the owners of the copyright of the song. Please check out our other videos before YouTube cocks those up as well.

  • It's as if Brian is being hypnotised by the music, such is it's influence.

  • very good effort and would go and see this band play

  • oh my GOD, this is such an incredible cover! could've fooled me for the real thing!

  • how can anyone confuse bryan with someone else??!? i wonder...if his voice is not fixed in ur heart and mind...at least his face and facial expressions...anyway...very good job though.

  • que bella música, con un contenido único! felicitaciones!!!

  • Un monument, une merveille,un tube intemporel,30 ans que j écoute ce titre avec autant de plaisir, le solo de saxo est historique , Brian au top,les plus belles années de Roxy music

  • The first time I heard this song was a few weeks ago, in a movie called Flashbacks of a Fool, with Daniel Craig. The song amazed me, I searched for a week before I discovered it was roxy, it's now one of my favorite songs.

  • @mikeymike602602 i downloaded their self titled album a few weeks back and this song immediately became one of my top favorite songs. so much passion!

  • Thats brilliant. Any gigs in Ireland? Amazing job

  • scary

  • !!! youre trying to tell me this is NOT the actual Bryan Ferry???

  • Comment removed

  • I have to admit that this sounds realy good..

I actualy thought it was Bryan himself ..

    lol

    Nice 1!

  • You have to really feel it to understand Roxy. I've never had the same feeling about music after hearing this and other Roxy songs. Nothing this days impresses me as much as Bryan and the Roxies let's call them like that. Even though I was born after the Roxy era. Love u Bryan, Eno Manzanera & rest of the gang...you've been so inspirational in this stage of my life as you were in my teen years!!! Hope to see u reunited soon!

  • This is my second time watching this vid. The first time I actually thought it was them.

  • Touching..absolutely fantastic..

  • So many people post junk on YouTube...this my friends is NOT one of those people. Excellent work! Quite passable for Bryan Ferry. Hopefully he will get the chance to view this and commend you guys for your stupendous work!

  • That is really, really good!

    Could almost be Roxy.

  • Una canción de esas que pasa una vez no mas....perfecta!!

  • Isn't this performance a Bryan Ferry solo effort rather than Roxy Music?

  • It's a Roxy Music TRIBUTE band performance of a Roxy Music song (first album), if that clears things up :)

  • Yep, another Flashbacks of a Fool enlightened user here. The song was interesting to me the first time I heard it, but had no serious appeal. Having heard it a couple more times, and having seen the movie again, I find myself somewhat enthralled with this song.

I've gotta agree with Maxdiecipezzi, but good job overall.

  • nice and sleazy. Bloody brilliant.

  • OMG! You guys are absolutely fabulous!! You do Roxy Music proud. I'm amazed at how you guys sound like the real band... the instruments and the Bryan vocals and gestures!!!

Damn you guys rock!! This performance is awesome. Is it available in the U.S?

  • What a terrific song. You guys seem so in tune really, with the original Roxy. Great rendition. Timing in perfection. Can't wait to see ya in town.

  • GOOD TRIBUTE BAND....well done.

used to be made on roxy in the 70s

  • Love it..... Like many, I first heard it in the Flashbacks of a Fool film.

  • Nice

  • Bloody amazing, but someone should buy them a proper oboe, the synth's just not right

  • I heard the song because the film flashback.... i saw the mimical movements from Felicity and i get inmediatly in love with the song.... i have some cds from roxy but i didnt hear before that song.... and now i cant stop to hear it

  • And that is a perfect description of mine and what i suspect is many other people's version of events. Flashbacks is an amazing film, If There Is Something is an amazing song.

I am in love with the both of them.

  • yeah, you're right!!

    mine version too!

and i can't stop hear it..

  • I feel so stupid; I was showing this video around to my buddies saying THIS IS ROXY MUSIC and this is why I love 'em...did not know it was a tribute...I say, close enough!!! Great work!!

  • Holy Jesus.

That was perfect. Keep it up.

  • Some things should be left well alone but this is as close as you can get.Great job.

  • Thank you!

    Kevin

    Lead Vocals - Roxy Magic.

  • Saw them last night in Tavistock (Devon) and oh my; You've just gotta stand there and look and listen. Kevin is the incredible Bryan Ferry lookalike and soundalike of the century. And the band came out and rubbed shoulders with all of the audience during the break so no pretence and no elitism - just very natural and easy going people. I sang my socks off and if you love Roxy Music, you gotta go and see Roxy Magic. It'll blow your mind!!

  • начиная с момента 4.45 - всем тихо рыдать!

  • saudades da minha preta!

    muito bom!

  • Awesome song.

Just saw Flashbacks of fool. Great movie, beautiful photography, excellently directed. This song ties so well with the movie.

  • This is Amazing!

  • Pretty fucking awesome¡¡¡

  • Love If There is Something!!!

    Cool1

    Great job!!!

  • brasil and love ROXYMAGIC...KISS......

  • AMAZING

  • MUITO BOM BRASILLLL

  • Obrigado de Inglaterra :)

  • the guy looks possessed by ferry himself. well given the name of the band, at least there is given reason.

  • all i can say is bravo! its one thing to do a tribute .....but thisisdamn close to a clone

  • I like the last part, but think it's too short.

    nevermind, this song is great

  • I totally agree with you. I first heard this track in the film Flashbacks Of A Fool, it works really well, i've now become a Roxy fan.

  • Yeah, same here, I never heard of Ferry until then. The movie was excellent, so there is definately some association with this song and the movie. But this song is epicly awesome.

  • harika bir parça

  • katılmamak mümkün değil.

  • i dont like the beginning but once it gets to 1:35 it rocks!

  • Well, that's the start of If there is Something....

  • Yup - find a rock band as creative as Roxy Music . . .

    Cold Play? Sweet Pretenders

  • sweet potatoes.

  • this is a german spy who escaped coldizt

  • Oh yeah, sing it! Sing it sing it sing it!

  • hey is this guy David Bowie is he from Roxy Music? or he is different

  • OMG! At first, I thought it really was Brian Ferry!

  • I certainly realise how good this tribute band is. I've got them up there as probably - no definately - the best tribute to any band ever ever. I love Roxy, have done since I was 15 so now being 51 I think I know what I'm talking about. This band is brilliant! More please Kevin, sheer delight listening to you and the band.

  • What a song!

  • Yes what a song. Who out there understands the gunnies of Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music?

Do anyone realize how great they are?

  • Absolutely badass! Roxy Music rocks in "Flashbacks of a Fool". Watched it in Turkey while vacationing..

  • incredible vibrato in his voice

  • .......extatic feelings!!

  • I haven't got a superlative that is adequate, I'm afraid.

  • actually spot on,very impressed

  • I wonder what I go for, come to the world then go, no!

  • I've been a Roxy fan since 1972, this is an absolutely awesome cover. FANTASTIC!!

  • brilliant... just like roxy music,

looks of ferry and the voice are excellent.

  • excellent song Bryan !!

Congratulations to all the musicians for their performance.....Amazing live indeed

    greetings from sunny Greece !!

  • wow this is awesome you guys rock. not my kind of music but, I started liking it after the movie I saw. flashback of a fool.

  • haha same here- good movie/good song

  • great sound. sax rulez

  • I heard this song 1st time in "Flashbacks Of A Fool" n it sounded amazing... This a wonderfull song ... Love it

  • this song was pretty cool in the movie "flashbacks of a fool"

  • Wow beautiful!

  • This is the greatest Roxy Music cover I've heard. On the original album the instruments are synthesized, so do you all use that same process live? Either way, fantastic job.

  • Hi - many thanks for that- very gratifying!

We try to duplicate the album sounds as closely as possible live. John (guitar) and I each use Boss GT6 guitar processor foot-pedals to treat our instruments. On the sax I use a combination of chorus for most songs and - on this track - phaser effects. For other sounds, our keys player Paul uses modern synth effects and a sequencer.

  • Where oboe is used by Mackay I use a Yamaha WX11 wind-synth which also helps with other sounds (mute trumpet for example on These Foolish Things). We don't, sadly, have a mellotron or VCS3 onstage but I use a small theremin to produce a fairly accurate end to Ladytron.

There will be more movies here soon, I hope, and you may get to see some of this stuff in action!

    Lee S (saxes)

  • excellent cover...heard it before I saw it.....almost had me fooled

  • Thanks - that's the best compliment we could be paid. Thanks also to everyone else for all the recent comments :)

  • no problem. keep up the good work. i've been a roxy fan since the year dot and you are definately the best roxy tribute band that i've ever heard. excellent stuff. can you post any forthcoming tour dates. it would be good to see youy live i reckon.

  • We're UK based; see our gig guide - website address is on the video!

  • Nice job gents! So glad to see that SOMEBODY is performing these fantastic songs! Keep it up, and come to America!

  • Absolutely brill, sax player awesome, so is " Ferry" well done the Magic !

  • damn I love the cool dance he does while he's singing, what a great cover band, good job! hey does ferry do that dance while he's singing too?

  • Clever, complicated song.

Roxy Magic do an excellent job of it!

The vocals are very like BF from that era.

    Totally enjoyable!

  • The cover is good.

But I would like to hear the original of it, as well.

Can anyone upload it to YouTube?

  • bryan ferry is a music god

  • Hey man these guys aren't bullshittin'. The Bryan Ferry guy couldn't be any better. These cats are pros.

  • this is a great cover of one of my favourite roxy songs. good work!

  • GREAT!

  • brilliant!

  • Really an excellent version. Tough to match Bryan Ferry's voice from the early 70's, but this is pretty wonderful.

  • This track is now available on iTunes as a download single - search for 'Roxy Magic' 'If There Is Something'

    Thanks for stopping by!

  • Roxy Magic are issuing this live version of 'If There Is Something' as a download single (in full glorious stereophonic sound)in the next few weeks; it'll be available through iTunes and some other outlets and we'll let you know when it hits cyberspace.

    Thanks for watching!

  • Either way it probably wont be half as good as this. You are the best tribute band of any I have seen!

  • Lift up your feet and put them on the ground

    You used to walk upon,

    When you were young !!!!!

  • Another favourite Roxy song, a very good version, now made famous by the new film Flashback !!!!!

  • Ive seen the Flashbacks yesterday, as some of you and Im completely in love with this song...

Now i wonder how could i spend 27 years of my life without even knowing it exist?

  • I know Bryan Ferry has moved on in his career since Roxy Music, eg Dylanesque etc, so it is great a tribute band keeps the original ROXY MUSIC songs alive.

Lead singer looks like BF too!

  • As much as I love Bryan Ferry, I'll take Bowie's Tin Machine 1992 live cover of this tune any old day.

  • I'm another who has just seen flashbacks of a fool. Loved the film and love this song. Great live version.

  • I would not say I am "upset" as you put it, I was just giving my opinion on the group. Isn't that what this comment section is for?

I didn't read the positive comments before posting because I wanted to give my opinion untainted by having read anyone else's.

  • I would swim all the oceans "blaaaaaaaaarre"

    what the f*** was that????

  • Dear bundleHastings:

My, you seem upset... Are all the positive comments below bothering you? This is live - warts and all!

    The warbler.

  • The vocalist over does the warbling etc. He sounds like a parody. The music sounds brilliant though, but I just want everything!

  • I'm yet another one to have just seen "Flashbacks" and was absolutely captivated by the song and scene in which she sings along to this. Never thought twice about Roxy Music or had any interest....I think that's all about to change!

    Fantastic!!

  • Yep can't get the theme tune out of my head having seen flashbacks of a fool last night. So powerfull.

  • i'v just seen flashbacks of fool too, its a great film n this is a great song.

  • saw flashbacks of a fool and thoght id check this song out i love it now haha

  • great tribute band . bryan ferry as always been amazing i think flashbacks of a fool will do wonders for him the film is brill.

check some of his other music i am sure you will love ..

  • wow, i cant believe ive missed out on this all my life.. decided to check you out after i saw flashbacks of a fool... what a great band.

  • Shake your hair girl with your ponytail

  • Excellent. It took me right back to when I was young! Please come to Scotland soon.

  • Very impressive!! Thank U!!

  • fantastic!!!

my mum didn't even realise it was a tribute band!!! i quote: 'Oooh, Bryan Ferry looks good!'

really great!!! i love that song!

  • Wow. North London, St. Albans anytime in the near future?

  • Whetstone 25th April... See our website for details.

    Kevin (Vocals).

  • you guys are great. Paderewski didn't write that much, but he brilliantly interpreted on the piano the works of others. why is this any different than that? but damn that guy looks like Ferry. pretty cool.

  • . . . and Paderewski also had great hair :)

Boy - do we have literate viewers!

    Lee S

  • Stumbled upon this by accident and I think it's great going to come and see you in Bilston in a week or so's time.

Keep up the good work as I am a massive Roxy Music fan

  • Thanks! Come up and say hello :)

    Lee S (saxes)

  • you guys nail roxy music pretty well. the singer even looks alot like him. great stuff!

huge fan btw of them, since virginia plain.

  • Great stuff. Had me fooled for a bit actually. Any chance of you guys hitting Glasgow or Scotland for a tour anytime soon?

    Keep up the good work!

  • Im a Roxy Music fan and have been for over 30 years and I stumbled across this post by accident and I think you guys are brilliant. Im gonna have to check out your gig list!

Keep it up you really are damn good!!!

  • Looking at your website, it seems you only play in the UK. Any chance of a tour of the States (Bay Area in particular)?

  • We'd love to be able to - all we need is a generous promoter to make it happen :)

    Lee S (saxes)

  • I bet Roxy Music are fans of Roxy Magic. I hate tribute bands but these guys do justice to something that really should be experienced live. Man, the singer looks the part! and the sax... !

  • Well, the song is a parody of country music (this is also true of Ladytron) and specifically honky-tonk I think. Roxy Magic obviously know this but they emphasize this too much, especially in the piano playing. The parody should take care of itself. Roxy Music always took on an ironic attitude toward their music, whereas Roxy Magic plays it too much in earnest. The solo sax is very well done, however.

  • That's a more useful review; we don't mind constructive criticism. However, although the parody/irony is in the music, context is important. It's live (a front-of-house mix) and subtleties of irony (a spectrograph might miss) may not come across. Or be important, when we're playing what has, to our surprise, become a real dance track for a Roxy-appreciative audience. They get swept along and so do we :)

    Cheers, Lee S (saxes)

  • Can't you be a bit more specific superflumia? I might learn something. Anyway what's a superflumia? Sounds like an amusepark park ride!

  • This is absolutely terrible.

  • This shows lots of technical mastery but why are you wasting your talent on immitation...faaaaaaaaarck!

  • You might have a word with the 10,000+ people we've played to since forming :)

Plus it's *wonderful* music. It's funny, no-one thinks of asking a classical orchestra why they only play other people's work . . .

We've all done our 'own thing' previously. Mind you, I'd only ever be in a tribute to Roxy!

    Cheers! Lee S (saxes)

  • I think I like Roxy`s version better, (although I have lots of time for Bowie`s Tin Machine), point is, we are a Roxy tribute...

  • I probably get a lot of angry responses for saying so but I like the Tin Machine version better.

  • excellent stuff

  • Man alive! I watched this and it was only at the end when I read the comments I realised it wasn't really Ferry! AMAZING!

  • This is an excellent performance. It takes real talent to play music this complex and intricate. Roxy Music is not for the feint at heart, and performing Roxy Music is certainly not for the amateur. My hat's off to Roxy Magic. I've never seen a tribute band with the talent and presence of the original before.

  • This guy's voice is an exact copy of Ferry's. Scary. Anyway, this is the very best Roxy song, from the best Roxy album.

  • shake your hair girl with your ponytail!

  • It's creepy how... spot-on this is. In a good way, but still.

  • Damn! That was good. And the sax solo!! When are they touring again?

  • Love it. love it love it.

  • Great version. I think the singer has all the mannerisms and vibrato down. A little mellotron would have been nice.

  • Oh, that was wonderful...probably my favorite Roxy song (saw them do it live a few times), and this tribute version is splendid. Come to America!

  • Roxy were my favourite since '72 and I've got to say I don't think I could tell this apart from the live Viva album version. Brilliant performance of one of the very best Roxy songs.

  • My favourite roxy music song, I want to see you live happy memories, haunting song or what!

  • I listened to this for a full minute before I realized I WASN'T listening to Roxy Music! You guys are great!

  • Highest tribute a tribute can be paid - many thanks Lee Sullivan (RMagic sax)

  • I did the exact same thing. Superb. Piano mixed a little loud, but that's not your fault (great playing though). Great song. I play in a Syd Barret tribute band, and constantly wade through disparaging comments by fanatics. What a bunch of blow-hards. You guys sound great and are obviously having a great time. Exactly what else is music supposed to be about?

  • the best roxy music song ever!

  • fantastic let me know if you ever play in York

  • One of my favorite Roxy Music songs! I totally agree with muushi, nice blend of versions! Keep the magic alive!

  • Nice blend of the album version and the Viva version during the sax break!

  • Thanks for noticing! Lee Sullivan (RMagic sax)

  • WOW!!!! this is the best i have seen!!!

    ifmusiconline big roxy fans

  • HOLY SHIT there is a Roxy Cover band in the UK? I wanna see them live! Nice, nice nice. Last time I saw BF was about 1998 in Vegas. Brilliant.

  • that's were Antony and the Johnsons got it

    yeah

  • excellent, i real enjoyed that! Thanks for the music! best wishes. John..

  • Roxy Music is dead. Long live Roxy Magic.

  • I love this song from Roxy's Debut. You guys nail it. Great Job!!

  • whoooooooooooopie

  • Excellent!

    When was this recorded?
