...lets be honest here. Im a huge LZ fan and I think they are the best band to walk the earth, but The Firm? Utter rubbish, total utter rubbish!! The reason they split wasnt about the name or anything, it was about the fact that Page and Rogers were churning out dull, formulaic, 80s shit, ....and they knew it! I couldnt wait for their 1st record to come out when I was a kid, but when I bought it I was so disappointed, it was rubbish.
@coltsuperocean10 : ??? Well, we're all entitled to our opinions, but I don't think you listened to it enough. I think they were an incredible band -good songs. No, they didn't venture far from what they're known for, but why should they have? It was a major Label contract-that requires album sales, not experimental "art" for the cliques who want it.IT's ALL RELATIVE-IT"S OPINIONS!!
@muggz2000 I'm not sure your facts are correct. I read 3 or 4 years ago that Rodgers and Page stopped a new band from using the name "The Firm" because Rodgers/Page held the rights to the name.
ITS SO FUNNY , THAT TODAY,WHEN WE HAVE ALL THESE CHANNELS LIKE YOU TUBE
,I TUNES AND SO, MUSIC SUCKS,WHEN YEARS AGO, ALL THIS GREAT MUSIC WAS MADE,YOU HAD TO SEARCH HARD FOR SOME RARE STUFF,THAT WAS ONLY SOLD IN JAPAN OR EUROPE,TODAY.
IT IS SAME WITH ARTICLES AND INTERVIEWS AND MUSIC SHIT IN GENERAL,YOU COULDN'T FIND SO MUCH ABOUT THESE CATS AND EVERYTHING HAD SOME KIND OF MAGIC TO IT
@checkie4ever was... 15 yrs old- meadowlands arena (Brendan Byrne in those days)- saw my first concert The Mutherfucking Firm! blew my mind and the reason im still loving them today...fuck-a-record co that wont let us enjoy their badass-edness...Jimmy should spin some of that alleged black magic mojo that he supposedely got goin on- FIRMLY on those greedy fux...kna' mean...
@kel9591 Paul is very busy being the new Freddy Mercury in the 2008 and beyond re-inception of Queen. Not too shabby, but the Firm reunion might be on hold for a bit.
There were some copyright issues with the original version of "All the Kings Horses" therefore it cannot be played on Youtube. This is a "DEMO" only version which maybe the studio didn't have rights to since they didn't actually produce this particular version which is actually slightly different from the STUDIO version which is one of the best "FIRM" hit's through the years. Radioactive was more popular for sure, but :"All the Kings Horses" was a GEM.
Great things only happen once. I'm glad I was there when it did.

@coltsuperocean10 midnight moonlight is good, but that's based on an unreleased led zeppelin song so ye you're pretty much right.
