Paul Frappier was murdered[5] on the night of 11-12 February 2011. His battered body was found in a pool of blood in a gritty industrial area near the Lachine Canal in Montreal.[6] His body appeared to have marks of violence on it. He was reportedly preparing for a show in Quebec City a day later.

At time of murder, he was acting on an upcoming film about Montreal street gangs.
