How does Oystein manage to convey so much in just under six minutes? I listened to this song a lot when my father died a few years ago. It helped tremendously. The change from contemplative, to wistful, then building to hopeful, maybe joyous, captured that time period perfectly.

I'm not a metal head but I do like some rock. It all started when I went to the new age section and I thought 'well what's this?? I bought a cd by William Eaton, which has a Native American theme to it. I played it and was hooked. I think different music balances you. I haven't found much of him on youtube, but he's brilliant. If you have time, look him up on the web =)

I love Amethystium. The man behind Amethystium, Øystein Ramfjord, produces music of such compelling beauty, intricacy and depth. Every single song he's written and composed has its own unique qualities and wonder. The seemless fusion of new age with electronic elements is very impressive as well as endlessly emotional. For example, the song "Berceuse" is the only song to ever reduce to me to crying tears of joy. It's that emotionally powerful.
