they didnt show the actual rigging at all. This was showing how to setup a skeleton for the animal. which looked like it took way longer than it needed to.

well, grear. but its more of a speed rig, i learned nothing, ive been on youtube for 2 hours and have no idea how to spawn those "conrtoller" things that are like wireframe orbs..

It's like putting joints together so the character can move so itäs not "static" :)

like adding a skeleton to a 3D model so you cand pose it or make it move anyway you want

(think about any human or animal skeleton)...
